PC Laptop for music production?

Ok so my laptop died today and i need to get a new one. Not a Mac,I use Cubase and have firewire card Echo audiofire 2. Any suggestions? Thank you in advanced.

suggestion 1 is to get a usb soundcard, laptops with firewire are hard to find and expensive if you find one. and you also need the TI chipset. FW on laptops is pretty dead if you ask me.

Thanks for your reply.I know its really difficult to find laptop with FW.I did have slot for express card on my old laptop and it worked fine i am quite happy with echo card i own and dont have extra cash to spent on a new card.I ll check the link you posted and see if i found something.Many thanks |
