I have a tascam 1082 FW interface / mixer I got cubase midi to send to the virus and I hear the notes triggering it but when I hit record no audio comes back to cubase. I have output from virus running to the input of the mixer. thats why im getting the sound through the monitors but no audio recording.

have u assigned and audio track for in the incoming audio (virus) remember u must assign virus to a midi and and audio channel

Press "monitor" button at the audio track u want to record. This button is located at audio track, next to "Enable Record" one. (it´s orange when lit).

ya did that . im gonna start from scratch and try to figure this out again maybe I can come back and describe step by step what I did.
