Time passes by so quickly but in case of Paul Kalkbrenner the ravages of time are actually pretty exciting. The tracks on "Keule" are not as snappy as in his younger raver years, but they do frizzle and sizzle and kick you right in the face. Paul Kalkbrenner isn't an assembly line producer who releases new records all the time. He travels and plays a lot, meets people, meets styles, works on his stuff for months and then surprises us with a new sound, that still bears the typical Kalkbrenner characteristics.
