most ppl i know come to parties late... like between 2 and 4 even 5 . most parties i know start around 12. would you prefer it started later? or how about playing chillout or dub till 2? think that will work?

If it started at 3 then people would turn up at 5 i am sure about it LOL
Well in my events i always have someone to warm up the people with some proggy tunes from 12 to 2 (before the main acts come to stage) and i make sure that he is not a shit dj cause a party must have a beggining,a middle and an end and every part is very important for the real party animals

Why starting with progressive tunes? Isen't that to downgrade progressive music and say that it's secondary from full on?
Why not play progrssive in the middle of the night or in the morning mate
This is a perfect example why I like seperated parties

I dont prefer it to start later, and i think, it's even kinda nice, the fact that u have groovy chill out music, for the first one-two hours of the party, even though i rarely get to hear them...
By arriving to a party after it already started, its sends another vibe, u just walk in to it, and the place is full, and the music is in full gear... 
U gotta admit, its nicer to walk in to a party, where the croud is already there, and not just gathering, Everybody is already bumping and jumping, and just having a blast...
When the fuck r u gonna get sick, of that lousy TECHNOSHIT?!

Elysium i was doing mostly full on psychedelic events thats why i prefered progressive as the music to start with a party cause its not as powerfull as full on but it is good to warm up and start dancing.
This doesnt mean that progressive is a level below full on ofcourse.Its just the music structure that i chose for my events and it seemed to work fine with the people
I personally listen to more progressive and downtempo music at my home than full on,this means that i love progressive more than full on?No ofcourse,every music has its time and usage in my humble opinion

and to complete what detox said... Progressive just at lower bpms - and we allready know the whole going up by bpm structure.

I think if people are in the party for the music, then they´ll arrive a little before the DJ or Artist they like start to play.
I´m with DETOX: progressive sounds make a perfect warm up of a full on party, and this doesn´t means progressive isn´t good, it means progressive and full on can be together.
Who wants to dance to 146 bpm full on tracks when it´s day, the sun is burning everything around and even in the shadows it´s so hot you can barely breath? (OK, don´t need to answer if you´re a full on freak   )

I think that most of the ppl in israel like to hear psy full-on at parties and if you played that music on 1am than maybe the party will start at 1?
but you know me parapsyched, you know I cant leave my house before 3 after midnight..

Personally I prefer my parties to start at 9 AM, because I'm sleeping at 3.
