Hey Ananda... howz'it... I am in Thailand now and.... as far as 'General Promoters'etc as we know them to be..... I know nothing and have seen nothing!! ...BUT....
....If you are going to KoPhanang... then the 'BLACK MOON PARTIES' at BanKai Beach is the place to play / stay ......owned by DJ Bang...and also resident is Dj Leung (very nice guys... hung with them alot...spinning, smoking at their house when time allowed)they do Psychedelic parties every 4 weeks on the night of the Black Moon (2 weeks after the Full Moon).... ....You can get a slot at the ZOOM BAR on Haad Rin beach everyday of the week...but I didn't like it much there at all (I went once in three weeks!!!)...say no more
I will stay in Thai until May 14th...maybe we can hook up again.... its been a long time since I saw you last

Hi there,

Well, Ananda if you are planning to go to Thailand, Koh Phangan will be a good start

I have been travelling around few months last year. I was there for the festival "Koh Pangan 2002" 31 Dec 2001 - 2 Jan 2002. I stayed at "Benkai beach , Lees Garden" where BLACK MOON PARTIES appens once or twice a month.

It was nice and I met few people.

MonasticSquid,
hope you enjoy your self over there           http://www.psytwin.org

Boom Ananda!

If you would be heading to Thailand, as mentioned, Koh Phangan is the BEST!!

If you are heading South East towards Ao Nang and Tonsai Bay you would find Stephan there (hes gotta amazing place to stay, RESORTS by the beach) and is also responsible for having parties there! His resorts name is "Wannas Place" .

His contacts: schei65@hotmail.com

VERY VERY NICE MAN!!! KILLER GOA SPIRIT!

Boom!

...dude... the way the cops have been killing everyone connected with drugs over here the last two months - (and therefore 'indirectly' the party scene has suffered a lot - ('clampdown' ends May 1st..)) = all music (except Haad Rin Full Moon) stops at 2am, and everybody is to afraid to piss (incase its the wrong colour)..... Road Blocks, Urine Tests, Body Searching off the boat..... maybe all you will be able to do is "...think about nuthin' .. music, sun , sea and beach"....
... In three weeks I was there - there really was no 'independent' party Action on the whole Island..!!!
...Bummer..!
C U soon
P.s - The guys I mentioned can always be found at 'CLUB LAND RESORT', Bankai Beach (owned by Dj Bang).... = 4 resorts along from 'LEE's GARDEN' and next to 'MAC BAY RESORT'           ---------------------------------------------

If you are in Had Rin - check out Harmony club - run by Steve & Jau (who also runs a travel agency nr the ferry landing) - its not on the beach - but in an old style wooden thai building - they have psy on mon & fri and prog/house on a wed. It was opening till 4am in Dec - but not sure of current situation - but great atmosphere (mainly full of British & Israelies).

They are normally keen to showcase Djs passing through - Jau will normally give you a try out in to make sure you know what your doing.

I *believe* that Stefan is no longer involved in the parties on Tonsai (which is a big climbers hang out nr Krabi) but sometimes organises his own.

I did a brief article in this months Upfront magazine ( A Uk dance trance/techno mag) about Thailand - although the piece was written last summer - took ages to get in the mag!! You can get a copy from www.chaosunlimited.co.uk

have a great trip
