That’s right my fabulous Party People, summer may be past its zenith but you know the time is always right for us to shake that something loose. When we put this line up together and looked at the final result we knew we were on to something that truly was unmissable and haven’t stopped looking at the flyer since we got it printed! The last party had something magical about it and I know this party on the 1st September is going to do us equally as proud. But only if you come and join us to Party of course  Because as much as we can provide the best music our imaginations can muster, its you guys who make the Party. Thank You to all of you who’ve made it down to our events over the past four years. And so, without further ado, we at Party Proactive would like to Present to you – GETCHA FREAK ON!

In global demand, Valentino Kanzyani (Slovenia), Recycles his Loops to rock the techno.

Festival highlight, Eskimo (UK), leads all imitators with his genre bending hard psytrance.

Danny Freakazoid (Switzerland) bites the bag from Deep Dish and Sander Kleinenberg to shake his deep and dark house.

My Digital Enemy, so hot they squeal, revel in the energy of their grinding electro with a heart.

To which add the support of Kris Angelis (DTPM), Clewz and an eclectic throw of London’s best and you know your freak is ready to be tweaked.

INTRODUCING THE T2 HEADLINERS – HOUSE / ELECTRO AT ITS VERY BEST!

Anyone who has already tasted the charms of Party Proactive will be familiar with our ethos of bringing together the cream of DJ talent from across the globe and in fact, from across the entire dance music spectrum. Rarely seen in London, we go all out to bring you the hottest house and electro, the deepest, darkest tech and tribal, and the toughest beats from techno and beyond! On September 1st 2007, we reconvene at our home from home, the legendary Turnmills venue for a night of unadulterated insanity and sublime debauchery, the aptly titled “Getcha Freak On”!

On this auspicious occasion, we cast our net far and wide and managed to catch a couple of whoppers!! Leading the charge in T1, the mighty Valentino Kanzyani flies in for a debut Party Proactive set, the awesome Eskimo makes a welcome return, whilst over in T2, Proactive is simply gushing with excitement at the prospect of CR2’s boy wonder, Danny Freakazoid joining in the madness and hot property My Digital Enemy.

DANNY FREAKAZOID

If you’ve been within an inch of club land during the last 18 months or so, the chances are pretty high that you would have been throwing some shapes to one of Danny’s many distinctive, dance floor productions. With a plethora of remixes ranging from Eddie Thoneick’s ‘Deeper Love’ and Fedde Le Grande’s ‘Just Trippin’ through to his own CR2 releases, Tension and Teken, Danny’s driving rhythms and pulsating electro bass-lines have come to epitomize the sound of 2007. Danny’s sets have taken him all over the world, headlining top events and now the sublime Party Proactive.

MY DIGITAL ENEMY

Proving that, for them, three is better than one, the Brighton based Harry Diamond, Kieron McTernan and Sergei Hall have already had success with tracks reaching number 3 and 21 in the UK Nationals (Sunset Strippers, ‘Waiting for a Star to Fall’ and Lost Brothers, ‘Cry Little Sister’) and, as My Digital Enemy, they’re most definitely heading in the same direction. With remixes for Pink and Rogue Traders, amongst others, their latest release, a dirty elektro dub of Groove Armada’s ‘Song 4 Mutya’, is being hailed as the ‘first amazing pop record of 2007’ (Popjustice.com) yet they continue to cane dancefloors of clubs across the globe with their tough, melodic, electro house. Consistently appearing in the Buzz and Cool Cut Charts supported by Eddie Halliwell, Judge Jules, Pete Tong and Paul Van Dyke, and with the music press pricking up their jaded ears, My Digital Enemy’s reputation is ever growing. From an appearance for DTPM at Fabric to gigs in Germany, an up-coming tour of Brazil

Seriously looking forward to Valentino smashing it in that main room! No doubt he’ll bring out a few of the classics.

It’s all about his remix of feelin’ electro:

Eskimo is riding high and fast becoming a global, cross-genre DJ and producer. Having made his name on the psy trance scene with his dramatic, melodic, deep rolling sounds he’s so damn good the rest of the dance world is sitting up and taking notice too! Producing since the age of 9 with his first gig in Japan at the tender age of 11, at 21 he’s flying across the global scene headlining festivals such as The Glade (UK), Solar Eclipse (Turkey) and XXXPerience Special festival in Brazil - his age truly belying his enormous talent and the respect in which he’s held. Now there’s a man who knows where the party’s at! With three critically acclaimed artist albums, collaborations with Israeli psytrance masters and numerous signings to labels and compilations, including releases on the legendary HOMmega Productions, Eskimo (aka DJ Junya) consistently displays his versatility and love of music as he blends and crafts psy trance tracks with hard dance, techno, progressive, whatever. Inspired by the likes of The Prodigy, Aphex Twin, GMS and Infected Mushroom and hailed as the future of Goa trance, Eskimo brings passion and irreverence to his cutting edge sound – breaking all the rules and laughing in the face of convention. Ha Ha Haaaa!

You DJ’d under the name Junya (Junior) before creating your production guise of Eskimo. Why did you decide to change your name? Because I said so..heheh. I did not change really. My DJ / nick name is Junya, but I produce under the name ESKIMO. I used to just DJ as Junya but these days I just do Eskimo Shows.

Psy trance is more intense than the trance heard in many UK clubs yet can still be incredibly uplifting. From its roots in India back in the 60s to being the global phenomena it is today, would you still consider your style of music psychedelic?

Yes and no. I can't speak for everyone but I don't think that my music has to be push into only one genre. I originally listened to old rave music and then got into Prodigy after that (every release). Then I got really into Hard House and Hard Dance in general while still playing "Psy Trance"... Now I love electro music, dirty sexy stuff. I guess that it all comes out in my music, so for me my music is not just influenced from one time or place. It’s all put together.

You’ve talked before of music being the one thing you can control in this world. I find that really interesting because the music you create helps people to do the opposite and relinquish their control and go with the flow of where the music takes them. It must be a fabulous to create such emotion through music and take people on a journey. Do you ever take a map?!

Hehehe, Only the map to get home after a heavy night. I don't really wanna control people’s emotions, I just like to have my input in the dance floor when I play. I think the main thing I have my head around is the music for dance floors because I enjoy being in one so much and I think too many "Very Talented" producers make music that is too serious for dance floors given that a dance floor is, I think, the least serious place to be. As long as people are dancing with either their hands in the air or their emotions at least, I am more than happy.

You were inspired to get back into producing in 2000 as the psy trance being produced became more inventive and inclusive of other sounds. Who is inspiring you at the moment?

Well, like I said before, at the moment I am into Electro big time and the last few months my doors have blown wide open to what I think can be used in dance music. The more genre of music you put into dance music the more it will grow because people can relate to it if they are not so into the scene. I think it’s hard to say WHO is inspiring right now but I am getting into using old retro sample like the old rave music and that area of music. I guess kind of "Back to the Future".

It’s not often a dance music producer gets to create such a personal CD as you did with Balloonatic (one cd each of influences, current sound and collaborations). Did you achieve what you set out to do when you began creating it and how was it received?

Yeah, and I still, the main idea of the music was to show the progress from what I was to what I am and to what I wanna be and where I wanna go with music. The "Balloonatic Part 1" album was loads of hoovers and horns like the old ravey stuff. Now "Balloonatic Part 2" is and its more retro ideas and electro style vocal snips and things like that. Kind of my present style and after part 3 will come I hope to show the way I think the music will turn to. Anyway, it’s just tunes for dancing and enjoying, as long as people like it and blast it full volume, you can make your own concept for all I care..heheheh

Psy trance is huge in Israel. Having recently moved back after living out there, what’s the scene like and how does it compare to the UK psy trance scene and the global scene as a whole?

Really Israel is a huge donor to the trance scene but I think mainly with the artists not so much the parties anymore. Of course there are killer events there but nothing that not happening in other places as well. I fell in love with the country, life style and people really, not just the parties. The UK scene is getting tasty again I think, and it’s because producers and event organizers are realizing that the more influences a scene has the more open it will become and attracting new people and new style to the parties. And for the devoted followers that go to all the events they love it because it’s becoming like it originally was for them when they started going.

We think your sound is going to be the perfect partner to the techno and hard dance we also have playing in the main room. What do you think the psy trance fans will think of you playing in such company and how do you think you’ll be received by those new to the sound?

I think that it will go off, because I have had my fair share in the "hardest" hard dance floors and the new listeners will be nice for them because they will almost the same speed and drive of music but a little different. Myself and the other DJs will work a little harder to fit around each others music (really we are all too lazy sometimes). It’s also good for the psy trance fans because maybe they will hear another DJ play other music that they like and get into it also, and all together it’s slowly, slowly pulling genres together and when that happens it’s gonna be a huge bookmark in dance music history...And we will all be there to see it...

We might be a little crazy, here at PP HQ, but we ain’t no fools when it comes to music. At Party Proactive we’ve some of the hottest names in dance music playing together in the same club and on a line-up you won’t find anywhere else in the country - possibly the world! With equal love and care being given to all the rooms you know you’re in for a night of music that is of THe highest standard, whatever its style, which is why we are very pleased to announce the addition of an extra room to be hosted by The Poison.

With sexy, tribal house and electro on the menu, the luscious Annexo bar will be open, giving those of you requiring a breath of fresh air or something that little bit stronger (fags, people, fags), the opportunity to step outside, breathe deep, and have a boogie courtesy of our Poison crew.

With less then 2 weeks to go we are amazed to say that over 75% of advanced tickets have now been sold at all our ticket outlets. And what that means, Gradies and Lentilmen, is there is only one way to describe this upcoming party – BIG! So if you are a musical connoisseur wanting to sip from the juicy cup of Proactive nectar or a bedazzled bomb in need of damn fine Party, you know you’re going to be in our safe, if a little unsteady, hands.
