I played at a friends wedding once where the groom kept demanding Access by DJ Misjah and the bride kept demanding anything from Flashdance (the movie)..

quite a tricky crowd to keep happy...

Forgot to ask the obvious question - with the parties theme - surely Oberon should be on the bill?

The FILTERHEADZ are coming....

Being a promoter is an exciting job. Why? Because you get to compose line-ups compiled of the best dance music the World has to offer! The phrase “like kids in a sweet shop” has been bandied around more than once at Proactive HQ  But even then, amongst the world of music on offer, there are those that stand out, shining above the rest, the mega cherry fizz bomb whopper of the dance world and our headliners for the 16 June party are most certainly that. Ladies and Gentlemen, I’d like to introduce to you, the Filterheadz. *round of applause, much whooping and cheering etc*.

For those of you familiar with the Filterheadz, I know you’re currently thinking, Fantastic! And for those of you maybe more familiar with what’s going on on the dance floor than who’s making and playing the music let me paint you a fuller picture - these brothers from Belgium, Maarten and Ben Wilmaers, are MASSIVE!!!!!! Deep Dish, Carl Cox, Pete Tong, Sasha, Satoshi Tommie, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo and Tiesto all play music the Filterheadz have produced. Their remixography reads like a Who’s Who of music – Faithless, The Scissor Sisters, Eric Prydz, Green Velvet, Oliver Lieb, M.I.K.E., Marcel Woods, Praga Khan, Delirium, Minimalistix, the list goes on. They’ve compiled both artist albums (Tribalicious and one currently in-the-making), had tracks appearing on compilation and mix CDs including Sander Kleinenberg and Tiesto, I ♥Techno, DanceValley, The Ministry of Sound Annual, Godskitchen (Global Gathering) and Gatecrasher and released music through labels including Headroom’s techno labels Session and Traction, Intec, Hooj, Bedrock, Platipus, Additive, Black Hole Recordings, Sony BMG, Ajuna Beats, Data, Deviant and goodness knows how many others! To showcase their music, in their own words a blend of “techno, house, progressive and everything in between”, they’ve played across the globe from Europe and Russia to India and South America and we at Party Proactive are Delighted to be invite them to play at A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Turnmills on the 16 June.

Tickets are selling for this event very fast and with less then 3 WEEKS TO GO we are getting very very excited! Advanced tickets are ONLY £14 (CALL TICKETWEB NOW 08700600100 FOR CREDIT CARD BOOKINGS)

THERE WILL BE NO MORE PARTY PROACTIVE EVENTS IN LONDON TILL SEPTEMBER 2007

If you're going to name a party " A MidSummer Night's Dream" - you should at least know your Shakespeare!

Oberon was the King of the Faeries in "A MidSummer Nights Dream"...

The DJ mag says it all.........

“A techno night for those that like their beats with both funk and proverbial testicles? Or a four room party with a bit of everything? Probably all and more and it's one of the fabbest parties around right now too!”

THIS SATURDAY!

Party Proactive Present
A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Turnmills 10pm to 6am

“Is it a Hard dance party for grown-up ravers? A techno night for those that like their beats with both funk and proverbial testicles? Or a four room party with a bit of everything? Probably all and more and it's one of the fabbest parties around right now too!”

That’s what DJ MAG had to say about us in their latest issue and we couldn’t agree more! And with only a few more days to wait before what will be the second of our four events in 2007 the magic is most definitely beginning to tingle.

You know us at Proactive HQ, we love our music and have been ruminating and cogitating for weeks deciding the perfect set times for the night. We think we’ve come up with something that flows with a zing – look out for some surprises!
