So I arrived to the venue at about 1230, which was the fourth floor of a building on the south east side of philly. A privately owned loft, the place was set up for some serious stomping. The first thing i noticed was the deco, which was very interesting as well as extremely thought provoking on the dancefloor. Mythical creatures, fluorescent landscapes, etc. the place was fully decked out for some serious dance.
Eg-bot opened with his live PA which was quite psychedelic as well as bizarre. he began on the the progressive side of things but allowed his set to progress slowly toward that powerful rolling bass. HE had everyone in a frenzy by the end.
The minds of the demented came on next. they also played a very interesting set, which may not have appealed to everyone but I found it to be quite good. unavoidable technical difficulties also hurt their abilities to key up the crowd. But the sub6 trak with michelle adamsson was that they played was the highpoint of the evening in my opinion.
american psychedelic blessed us with some unique basslines and bleeps. In the beginning ofhis live PA i wasnt feeling his vibe but after 20 min are so i began to vibe with the grooves he was pouring out and enjoyed it very much.
The best part of the night though was when we went up to the roof of the building and watched the gorgeous sunrise over the philly skyline. This was a great end to the long night of dancing.
the ppl were very nice, a great friendly vibe for an intimate party with many great moments of music. GOOD work am-psy. hope to see you again.
