Texaliens proudly present:

F r e q u e n c y

featuring djs:

- L'Elf (Turbotrance, France)
Label Manager, Turbotrance Records. First US appearance.
With 10 years of DJing experience, L'Elf is fast becoming one of the most respected and in demand psychedelic trance DJs in Europe. He has shared the stage with such trance legends as DJ Anti, Tristan, Dimitri, Dino Psaras, and Blue Planet Corp. In July 2000, L'Elf formed the Turbotrance record label, which has had a string of highly received and sold-out releases. He currently serves as the label manager for Turbotrance, pushing the French sound of psytrance into the forefront. Come experience his first-ever US appearance!

James Meadows was the first DJ to introduce central Texas to the sounds of psytrance. He has shared the stage with DJs and artists such as Koxbox, Quirk, Mark Allen, and Sid Shanti. His skills behind the decks are unparalleled, and his connection with the crowd is unmatched. His appearances in Austin are undoubtedly some of the most welcomed and well-received, and this will be no exception.

nice site, brotha.

but i think jedi was talking about the cost of this event being hard to find.

atlanta is expensive at some of the major clubs.

thanks people, yes, i was referring to 'club cost entrance for organized parties that i have been to'.

you texans (and visitors alike) enjoy, you have some great 'outdoor' places in your grand state.  i've lived there, it's beautiful! :)

peace.

This is going to be a killer party.
And Sage you are right, Krelm and co. definetly know how to make a party.
I am really looking foward to hearing Dj Nobody, James Meadows. He is a really cool guy, and his Vinyl collection is the biggest I have ever seen.
Anybody here know who is signed to TurboTrance Records?

oops, my bad. true, a lot of events here in ATL(especially 'massives') are pretty damn expensive, but now and then there are clubs here that charge <$15 and provide free drinks until midnight.. unfortunately most of these places don't really have a whole lot going on as far as trance is concerned, but if you are at all into prog house then you are in luck.

texaliens definitely get some proper talent to perform @ their events though, i felt like shit when they brought dj lestat and i wasn't able to go..

Thanks everyone!  It should be a good night. :) I have confidence that L'Elf will rock it.  I've heard a lot of good things about the guy, and he has an impressive playlist.

Jonathon, where you been, man?  We missed you on New Years...crazy party. :) Are you coming out Sunday night for the rooftop thing again?  They are working on us having more sound this time.

DJ Shed - I think you are on all the boards I'm on. :) I guess maybe this party explains why I was talking about Turbotrance so much on UMP a few weeks back. :)

Jedi - James has never been to Atlanta, but I'm sure he would be up for going in a heartbeat to play a psytrance party there.  As would probably any of the UMP or Texalien DJs. :) Have trance, will travel....

Hopefully we'll be able to use some of our outdoor space in the spring/summer.  I know that Last Laugh (another psy crew in Austin) has something in the works for April <evil grin> that will be outdoors.  We'll also probably do some smaller free outdoor things once it warms up a bit in Feb/March.  And then there is Burningman Flipside in May...sort of like the big thing, just with about 700 freaks instead of 30,000.  Definitely worth the trip to TX if anybody has ever had a hankerin' to come here for something. :)

Thanks guys, I had fun too. :)

Jonathon, I'm glad you *finally* got to experience a proper Texaliens party.  That after-party was really the first one we've had with *that* feeling reminiscent of the first days in a very long time.  And of course the earlier party at the club was nice too. ;)

And it was good to finally meet you, Miki!  I hope we get to see you around at more parties in the future!  I'll email you soon.

L'Elf was great.  Absolutely superb.  If anybody ever gets the chance to hear him, go to any effort to do so.  One of the most impressive DJs I've heard in a long time.  And one hell of a nice guy too.  I'm surprised he is not more known in Europe...definitely totally underrated.

We'll be doing another one like the after party in a few weeks.  Small, totally private, invite only.  Stay tuned.

And send me a message if you are from TX and haven't met me yet.  There are a lot of cool parties that we don't/can't advertise. :)

I will second every word.

L'Elf is my man for now on. I got home and went through my music to try to find some of the tracks he put on. I found his first track it was "Biotonic- the third link" let me tell you people, this is a party starter. All you DJ's go buy this album!
For me Turbo-Trance is the label to look out for! Let's hope he will try to stay away from the GMS stuff and head for the more progressive stuff like Electric Tease.
And yes Dave, Miki, and everybody else, it was great seeing you all, I had a wonderful time, especially at the after party.
Another Party? In a couple of weeks! Can't Wait
