well it was a lovley underground, true underground party
location: beautifull location with great view but very hard dirt road
deco: u could put more effort here guys
music: lot's of problems with the sound who stopped to manny times
i missed riji's set and came right when guy shanti went to the deck's... what can i say i was very disapionted, he played all the hit's of last here, tell the truth ...if i wanted an album of the big hit's of 2003 and would ask , good mixing but very very very bad music choice
after him went on 2 guys who played nice full-on set not my style but at least it was original and great mixing!!!!:)
after them came some guy who played wicked music but my gang wanted to live so they draged me away:(
good job orginaizers !!!
all in all i had a really good time keep it up           Bottom Line Presents

Huga - u r entitled to your opinion but i dont think i sucked that badly... what "hits of last here" do u mean exactly? a track from Full on 7? a track from Astrix's upcoming album? trax from very recently released compilations like the Beats and Pieces collection? trax from the - not yet 2 months since its release - Rinkadink album? a remix for Sub 6 one day after its release?
man, I mix about 15 trax per hour's set. if I had 7 trax with the year 2003 release date on them during a 2.5 hour set that means it was a hits of last year set? DO U WANT THE PLAY LIST?

it ws a nice party IMO and I was happy to start the outdoor season in such a nice place with such nice people. the sound wasnt the best but we managed. DJ Rijiy played a great set and overcame enormos problems with a fucked up cdj player which was later switched with a working one and Sinus who played after me I enjoyed very much.

nice one

Huga: Everyone knows that unreleased music that no one knows is better... please, gimme a break. I've heard kickass sets using NO material from the year before the sets (only earlier - Tsuyoshi @ SDF 2002, probably the best set there), sets with a combination of new and old (Tristan)... etc, etc, etc. The worst sets I ever heard were made of unreleased killers no one ever heard, but without smooth technique.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

heheheheh i think that the good crowd prefer old tunes its not the time matter
the taste is matter.

he was can put some simon music and manmademan chi.a.d and old stuff that can kick all the dancefloor away...

but everyone with his opinion.

i know that guy tops allways good for sure.
thats all..

peace.           Happy Happy,Joy Joy.

Huga: you want to listen to stuff like that you should go to parties by Psychedelic Zion.

And - Bigwigs was nice, but Tromesa was nicer.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

interesting issue, this unreleased old/new music stuff.
Here in Scandinavia, one of the best things is that you dont have to run after the 'new-kewl-unreleased' stuff like in Israel, simply because ppl dont know that much about psy-trance. In Israel I remember some trax that were 'burned' a week after I got them directly from the artist (and still unreleased, mind you), simply because they were overplayed and every collector had them.
Here I can play trax from our early releases and even some local material (D.Structures, Iboga, Spiraltrax) and ppl don't really mind. You can still play trax like 'Scientific Reality', 'Wider', 'Teder Beseder' and the like, and the crowd digs it.

When I played in Stockholm last year I finished my set with the original "Astral Projection - Dancing Galaxy", maybe the most famous psy-track ever (with Spiritual Healing), and it felt so good to be able to play a piece of history and remind us all where we are all comming from.

boom,

H - if you play Dancing Galaxy here your fucked... thats the way things go here - alot of parties, everybody djs or writes music, not enough really good trax etc. but this way you have to stay close to the cutting edge and be with your finger on the beat, i belive this way you become a better dj cuz you have to play new music all the time, invent and evolve rather than fall bak on classics that work.

I totaly agree with you on that issue, otherwise what's the point in booking this or that DJ if they all play the same music? However, there still should be a place for released music, since in our scene we dont have MTV or other publicity channels and the only way to really publish music is to play it at parties. The insane rush in the israeli scene to be ahead of the herd is a bit rediculous, and the best example is right here in this thread.

The best I believe is a balanced set that contains new unreleased tunes to introduce comming material combined with already released music to promote material and support trance music production. The most important thing I believe should be whether a track fits in the flow of the set, not its status.
I still can't forget a set played by Avi Nini around 5 years ago (when we were still all USTA) that started with all new material and then, after 2.5 hours in the middle of the morning turned to be a 'classix' set containing all the goldy oldies (like Chi A.D - Exit Eternity...) - unforgettable.

and btw, the Dancing Galaxy was played with a wink, it was more of a joke but it turend out really nice in the end.

c u around August!

Yeah, I must agree with helen.

What's the matter in playing an old released track, if the track is good?
Here in Århus we get alot of new stuff to (especially from the locals), but there's often some old released goodies .. And that's nice.

Helen&Guy i totally agree with u both.
Its a problem here in israel. whoever says that an all unreleased music set is good only cause its unreleased then he has a problem. the best sets i've heard were mostly "oldies" in a set (oldies - past year, 2 years tops) with some new music here and there... u can look at the house scene 2 c how owr scene is so fucked up... there u can c sasha, digweed, Victor calderon and so many others build there sets with excellent mixin' skills and u can c that they've pu so many thinkin' and experience in their sets, that even if they play a track 5 years old it sounds perfect 4 the time it is played in! Thats y i go 2 house parties more often then 2 trance parties... the DJ's there knows how 2 challenge the crowd, they r innovaitive not only with their' music but with the thinkin' beyond the set...
Another problem that i wana show here in this thread, if we r already talkin' about dj's is the problem that even foregin dj's that come 2 israel dont care about us te israeli crowd, they think that "If u r in Rome than u should act like 1"... a french DJ playin' 2 Sub6 tracks in a role in a party in israel? y do we pay them so much money 2 come from abroad? i can play the sam music 4 excatly a fifth of their salary!
Im pissed!!!!!!

a word (or few) to all you djs:
you make the set. you make the atmosphere, and i think that is nothing more kick ass than a classic old track or few of them between all the new ones. today fullon are not bringing anything new and the consept is more or less the same so an old one really bring the party to higher level. the retro, for my opinion, can do only good for the parties.
