Well as some people already know here we are building small parties and would like to built a legal structure here in France to set up a bit bigger parties...
I've been thinking a lot about contacting organizations like "GreenPeace", "Medecins du Monde", etc etc... for supporting some of these parties... This with pouring them out again a large percentage of the benefits (when there are any..... )
What do U think about such steps ??
Would this corrupt the spirit of Partying ?
Have there already been such Parties ?
Express yourselves please...
Any suggestion welcomed
Peace !!

I would like it, but i think it's not a very good idea...
Outdoor parties aren't nice on nature you know... sometimes organizations leave things behind such as plastic cups, etc... (the bad ones of course) There are some who nail decoration on the trees (!)...
And even those who don't, i doubt that a sound so loud will do any good to trees nearby...
But of course the org. are not the only ones to blame, we are to blame too. |

I think if you do a party indoors you don´t have those problems and a suport by any organisation it´s ok but outdoors i don´t know. There are some things like Chi said that will dificult things.
Another point is the polatics entering in a trance party i don´t know if this is right you know what i mean?

First of all it has nothing with politics, because I think that KakoOlalaJwal ment of the NGO's(Non-government organisations). I think that they can support both indoor and outdoor parties. I am my self volunteer in an NGO, and I have notised that most of them are really intrested in this kind of cooperation, at least in Macedonia...
For instance, almost every year on 1 December, the Day of fight against AIDS one NGO organises parties, usually house parties, and they give preservatives to all people. It's true that it is a kind of promotion of the organisation, but if you like to cooperate with ecologic organisation it will be also in the favour of the clean enviroment and rising the consciousness about it.
And I think that it definetly won't harm the vibe on the party, because we assume that the audience will be people who like trance, so there will be nothing to stop the parting. Good luck... |

few years before here in Israel was a big rave supported Anti-Drug Organization (Al Sam), they were VERY surprized to read day after a party in newspapers something like "10000 Israely teenagers on LSD danced 24 hours under supporting from Al Sam" hehe
be carefull dont find something like "10000 trees were crashed by 10000 stone France citizens on chemicals during acid party under fully supporting by Greenpeace"
stay undeground i say.

The question is are we really so friendly to the mother nature as we think?
We come to outdoor parties, dig big holes while dancing under our feet. After we're gone the place looks like a desert, when it was a forest before (I'm exaggerating of course).
Are we really that friendly?

It depends, some parties are nature friendly, some not.
I think the idea in general is good- trance culture should go hand in hand with respect to nature- it's the combined beauty of it- taking todays top modern technology and using it to connect back to nature.
As for combining forces with environmental organizations, you have to be careful there- big organizations have politics and big money inside with all that comes with that, whether they admit it or not.
I think here you can find a good model:
http://www.tranceplant.org/
I believe that before you go and ask for support of a big organization you have to go and do by yourself, not just get sponsor, not just "this party is brought to you by Greenpeace, friendly to the environment around you".
Do something genuine, get people to party and support their environment or community. This way you'll earn respect not beg for it.

Please, whatever u do, Dont mix music with politics like that, NOT A GOOD IDEA.
I don't know if a bong can be nature friendly, but ppl can dump their trash in bins or smth like that , and there, problem solved!

i dont think we r friendly to nature, sure some org groups make their best to get the negative effect to minimum, but friends, we never will give something good to nature with party, we can effect it to tottal loose or just litlle bit crashed but make positive thing to nature we cant.
and without name names i can say i know places where u can see botlles and stuff SIX months after there was a party, shame.
dont live in illusion u give something good to nature, know, we only take...

You are with nature- there's a chance you'll notice it and its power and the connection between you, which we tend to lose in our modern life.
Once you notice the nature around you, you can be a part of it again, and then its not give and take anymore.
That is my experience.
