i wuz there for a year in Tampa Bay...and all i can say is GOOD LUCK...i didn't find anything there during my stay...and only came across one goa head who happened to be my frined:). anyway...i think it also depends a lot on where in FL u are planning on going...from what i hear, Miami 'ocassionally' has a couple of partiez (infected just played during the world music conference)..but the rest of florida, i highly doubt it....so again...good luck with ur search!
btw...if u like d'n'b/breakz/jungle...they have loads of that. |

the thing though about that party @ the wmc was that it was put on by tsunami from ny, without the help of any miami promoters as far as i know. psytrance in the SE is really only confined to the cities of atlanta & athens_ga, and especially in asheville_nc (as well as austin_tx & nyc/dc/pa if you can take a few days to drive).
i used to love going down to florida for big parties in orlando/tampa/gainesville, but it is a VERY mainstream scene down there, and the laws that have been passed there as a response to the 'rave' scene (clubs must close @ 2am) have made it a lot less appealing to go down there. the police are everywhere in central florida...

Yeah - it is a real trippy venue.
For those who havent seen , the venue is a 'light museum' with tons of light sculptures and light fountains. Quite a nice place for a psy event. |
