One reason I buy digital downloads:
I dont have to buy a whole album or compilation for ONE track, or two or three.
Another reason:
Wasting plastic is baad, mmmkay?

Sounds like something a yogurt-weaver would say.

If you buy a digital album from an online service such as the iTunes store, Amazon MP3, or eMusic, you have no legal right to lend that album to a friend, as you could if you had purchased a CD |

So I have no legal right to lend it to a friend.

And similarly why I liked buying CDs/media direct from the artist.
But it is much harder than I ever expected, even knowing some of the artists as friends.
Though the next port of call, the record/media label are normally better at relieving me of my* money.
*actually its the missus' money, but that is moot.

- Compared to beatport albums, it's still cheaper per track when you buy CDs and rip the wavs.
- Artwork is physical
- You can sell them on discogs if it's not of collectible quality.
- Constantly using the CD player in the car so it's convenient
- Sorting the collection is a Zen like exercise
Bandcamp and Addictech are doing good to bring about a change (esp when looking for fresh DJ material) but still end up buying physicals of the stuff I enjoy... it'll be non existent in the near future so might as well invest in something that's part of your generation.

And I like the feel of getting my hands on the originals with artwork & stuff!
