whats the age to see the psychedelics.???my opinion is -when they able to understand whts goin on ...
if they are not understand whats goin...its dosnt make sense to bring ur child in fests.
loud music ,crowded area,no fun for kids.
suggestion-put some small rides in fest.small pool for kids.tattoo making.some games for kids it would be great.they are busy in rides and other games.they dont get bored,by the way .i make rides for the kids hehehehe           <<<<<<<<SECREAT SHIVA CLUB>>>>>>>>

Leaving your kids watch TV freely is far worse, imagine they start watching Fox news?           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

I think the problem here is with the way children perceive things and how much they tell you about it. You may think that you are very close to your child, but in truth - you have no idea what's going on in that head. Children miss things that we notice and notice things that we miss. And they come to unexpected conclusions that will blow your mind. ...That is if they decide to tell you exactly what they think. Which in many cases they don't.

I remember this couple in our school's dorm. They were very progressive, open-minded and what's not. So, they would take a shower as a family, with their 4-year-old son, while giving him lectures about birds-n-bees. They thought they were doing that boy a favor. I did not believe it 20 years ago - and I still don't believe it now.

The problem is, a child will form a notion of what it's all about and will look at his future experiences with "The Scene" through that (possibly warped) glass. Pre-conceived notions are a very powerful thing! For example, I like the "Cafe Marrakech" album. But I would probably enjoy it much more if I'd never been to Marrakech and had not formed an idea of how this music "should" sound. Well, maybe it's not a very good example. But you understand what I mean, right?

Maybe it's better to wait until you and your child can really be on the same page. When it's more likely that he/she will see things the way you see them and not jump to some conclusions because of the funny way their 5-year-old brains work.

kids under 12 should be charged double..as they tend to interfere in adult matters and tend to buzzkillers..           When death comes to your doorstep, make sure you are alive

Depends on the type of festival... large-scale festivals with raging sound systems and plenty of substance abuse? Probably not. But there are other kinds of festivals. Here in North America most of the events I attend are small-scale (from 100 to 500 attendees) and generally kid-friendly. Yeah, you might want to stay away from the front left speaker and the guy with dinner plate pupils wearing one shoe, but so what? Most people are fairly with it and the kids have a blast in the outdoors with all sorts of friendly people around.
