notching out the bass just dont work for me <YET>, i can never get the character i want, with graphic eq (AAY-Audio aq-31) i can achieve better results.. 50hz,250hz,315,500,1kz using 24 range filter.. sounds warm, pumping and sits in the mix wilst keeping all harmonics.

parametric i will only use for LP Hp on bass

anyone else agree graphic is more suited for bassline?

The only difference between graphic and parametric EQ is fixed values of frequencies and slope settings.

So, the only advantage of graphic EQ may be the quality or character of some particular EQ plugin.

not using parametric EQ on bass is like playing piano with your elbows

Sonnox gives good results. GlissEQ is nice too because of the analyzer. Don't know if there's many others with an analyzer like it.

-offtopic- discohooligans still posts here? ^^

cheers bruv
Logic's linear and channel EQs are my go to EQs. they have almost no character which suits me well for nothing stuff out. I try to get all the character I want in sounds when programming my synths.
