l have just tried here and it takes exactly 9 sec to load everything until the track starts playing..
But ofcourse l'm in England and l do know that the connections in Hellas and Cyprus are quite slow.
please try diffirent times too, so u can compare the timing.
Hopefully the internet connections in Hellas soon will be faster..
Have a good time.... ALL the time

I am on a 2500mbit ADSL conenction and believe me. It's very slow
I am also a professional webdesigner and I know that you need to concentrate on making your graphics as small as possible in kb. You should try to reduce the splash picture in Photoshop by saving to web.. and also compress your flash file and make a preloader so people know it's loading
It will help a lot and make people stay. The first rule is to make sure the graphics load fast so you dont loose visitors.
Anyway good site |

He there !
So thx for the feedback on Pan Papason web site . Well I did notice the site’s running quite slowly for some computers! I did a lot of animations running at the same time! (background moves for example) and it’s taking a lot of memory and calculation process on your computer!
The loading is long cause of the 3D graphics I’ve been using. So if you use “dial up” modem connexion it must be quite long! The size of the each pages is between 44 kb to 300 kb maximum. For “dial up” modem connexion which are downloading between 2 and 5 kb/seconds it should not take over 60 seconds to load a page! I know it is very long but people who use this kind of connexion should get to used to … The weigh of the first Isratrance page is 140 kb, so it takes like 30 seconds for RTC “dial up” modem connexion.
Well, to give you an example, on my computer is running ok! But only because of my configuration (AMD Athlon Xp 2800, 1 Gb memory DDR , graphic card 128 Mb). I know not everybody can afford this configuration. I’ve got difficulties making fast animation and not too heavy for every kind of computer when the one I’m using can handle more than a regular one.
I just did a little change on the site and left you the possibility to get through the site whit out all the background animations which will give you a little bit more speed!

My specs are:
Power Mac G4
867 Mhz (Around the same as 1.6 GHz on a PC)
1.2 GB ram
2 MB L3 catche
So I doubt it's the computer unless you got a a very old one or very little ram ect
What I think is the actual problem is your providers server speed.
I tried to ping the server and the result was not good
It's simply very very slow.
But yes what you have done of changes do improve the overall speed.
Anyway keep up the good work |
