Ozric is the masters of tru psychedelic rock indeed, I saw them live a couple of years ago in Christiania (Denmark) and that concert I will remember for a long long time ... MAGiC !!! ....

I must have seen one of the very first Ozrics gigs at Stonhenge in 84 ( I was only 16 at the time). Interestingly - i think that when Joey & Merv went off to do Eat Static - there were no original members left...
I've never been massive fan - mainly used to see them as Senser (who sounded like a cross between Public Enemy & Hawkwind ) would often support them. |

I'm pretty sure that this kind of music is best while listening on Live-concert.
Look forward to visit such one if will be any on a life-path. |

I have about 8 albums by Ozric tentacles and most of the tracks are very very good.
Good fusion between psy rock - trance & ethnic but they their guitars are not like some trance artists are using nowadays but MUCH MUCH BETTER.
I would say they might be the creators of trance sounds somewhere in late 1960's.
One of their ex musicians is nowadays EAT STATIC.FAVOURITE ALBUM - ERPLAND 2001 |
