not 100pct sure where to put this but Ozrics definitely did their fair share of ambient vibes. Sadly the band has lost their house and studio in the awful Colorado forest fires. I just wanted to remind people what a great band they are and if you have never heard them before check them out. It's space rock at it's finest (and space rock doe not really do them justice as their style is ambient, chill, psy guitar, space rock, ethinic, dub, middle eastern etc. etc.) 25 albums to their name and many line up incarnations. I hope you like them enough to support them by buying and enjoying some of their tunes.

hey barry,
i've been a huge ozrics fan for many years. used to catch them at festies in the late 80's/early 90's, but kind of stopped following their career around the time that john left. last caught them on nijima island in japan at the anoyo festival around 2004 i think. didn't know they had reloctaed to the US, and was very sorry to hear about loosing their house and studio, not good at all...
after a gig in essex (colchester arts centre), me and some friends were chased by squaddies with iron scaffolding poles. very scary!
but some of my fondest blissed out memories are of listening to the ozrics in the early 90's. especially the early tapes and first three CD albums. fantastic musicianship and playing.
if you like them then i'd also recommend gong, but sure you are aware of them already!
big fan of older eat static too! i've seen many memorable sets by them at raves and trance parties (best one being an escape from samsara in east london one new year's eve).

yes yes, love the Ozrics, been a fan for many a decade seen them more times than I can remember, caught them only last month in London, great show as always.
Very sad they lost their house and studio, cannot begin to think how much they hurt from this, all archives gone forever.... just glad they are safe themselves. Have been following info on ozrics board.
New album Paper Monkeys rocks, including very nice chill track for types here, Will o The Wisps
