Anybody like this band? i have only just come across them, some of there songs are really spaced out and chilled but some are quite fast tempo and trippy so i dont know if they really class as chill out or not. |

Most often classified as progressive rock, though they're all over the place. They have an excellent reputation, and a large following. Related to Eat Static through Merv (the drummer). Definitely worth checking out. I liked the album "Strangeitude" quite a bit back when I owned it in the early 90's. |

thanks ill take a look at it  the back catalogue appears to be stupidly large hehe. They have a new album out later this month too. |

i've compiled two albums of ozric tentacles tunes with the 1st concentrating on their ambient/chill-out material and the 2nd on their marvelous electronic dub pieces.
...eeh, for my own pleasure that is
it's worth the effort!
also if you search this forum you'll find MANY topics concerning ozrics.

hehe... I have two CDs in my case that I use for my sets which I compiled from the many albums I have from them labeled Chillin with Ozric 1 & 2. 
I have no time now, but if you use the search for old topics I'm sure I wrote here at least once a detailed recommendation on how to start to get into Ozric.
