Well since I see nobody else has botered then I will...

I would like to say that this evening turned out to be something pretty different from what I have expected and eventhough I know the crew had the best intentions...
I'm a true yekit, so times is a pretty sensitive issue for me, but 3 fucking houres late is extremely not cool, and it has ruined my plans for the weekend and my friends. I have heard from a few friends that were there (people who ordered their tickets via credit card had been told to be there before 21:30 whilst the shows started at around 1:00!!!) that the doors werent even opened around 23:00 so we stayed at home and arrived at around 1:00 to discover all the venue has just started. I realize that sometimes (especially in Israel) things dont always go in the correct time, hey we are still not in Germany, but I also think 3 houres after the time specified is absolutley not fair. Some of my friends have gone before Ozric have even performed cuase they had different plans for saturday morning, and I had to cancel another party (really wanted to see Jahbo & Yojalka ) because the whole concert ended at 6 in the morning!

Moreover, the line up's order was not planned well IMO, Odradek which were ok but yet not essembled enough inside the band and IMO copied a bit too much from Ozric in some of their songs, should have been just before Ozric when the crowd was uplifted and energetic. Once Shulman came up, the whole energy level came down a lot due to the fact that it was too much down tempo and lasted way too much. Also the dynamic between the players wasnt exactly the most exciting one so it was a bit boring to watch them and we were already pretty anctious to hear Ozric after waiting for so long...I think half an hour is enough for warming bands. You could see and feel that the crowd was exahusted from this massive delay in the time scheduel and are edgy to finally see Ozric.
Therefore I think that in the stage where they have seen that the whole performance is beeing delayed the warming acts should have been shorter, I saw many people leave because they just didnt have the power or energy to stay, after some of them were at the gates from around 22:00 - thats 5 hours to wait for the main event, and with all the respect I have for the warming acts, the main event was Ozric Tentacles and nothing else. This is why you need to let the audience to decide if they want to hear the rest or come only for Ozric.
Moreover, we need to remember that not all the crowd is Trance oriantated and are maybe not used to go for such a long night journey.

The sound was pretty good but of course way too high without any neccessary cause. If I come to hear music I wanna hear the music and not the sound system, and the vibe wont be ruined if it will be a bit lower.

The band itself looked a bit tired and it took them some time to get into it, but again I'm inlove with this band for some years now so maybe my review on them wont be as objective, then again, I dont think any review is objective.
The new bass player - Vinny and the rejoining of Merv is definitly a boost for the band, and also their sound man Kim who did a superb job with what he had. They gave a long show (I think around 3 hours) with a break of about 10 minutes in the middle which made many of the people to give up... It was crowded but in a reasonable way, if I could dance then I think it was pretty ok. The band gave songs from the past and the present and yet I could say that I felt more enthusiastic 2 years ago at the Barbi... I think that the chain of coincidents have made it uncomfortable for both the crowd and the band and thus prevented them from being in the same high levels as before.

The last thing is, please please dont promise things in vain! I was sure that there will be a second performance like the organizers said at the end of the Friday one, only to discover around Saturday evening that it's not gonna happen...

So again this is a great innitiative and I know the good intentions of Hasamba crew and that sometimes reality strikes you with a different tone from what you have thought, but we can only learn from this and I hope that next time will be much better           "Hypnoza" 106fm (TLV) - Sunday's @ 20:00

One of the most amateur productions I've been to. It has been said the event will start at 21:30, and since the organization wouldn't publish the exact line up order we came from the start. We waited like idiots outside for more than 1 hour. We finally got insde around 23:00. The first act (Mantish Mash) was very good (one of the best acts during this whole evening). Oodradek were ok, but I didn't understand how come in the middle of the evening they put Shulman. How can you put chill out in the middle of the evening? They should have opened the evening, not be the main act. When they played the Shlomi Shabat remix, that was one of the worse things I ever heard. Then (finally after 5 hour of waiting), Ozric started playing and they were excellent. When they took a break in the middle , one of the organization guys came on stage and started screaming on the microphone all ecstatic. After a 10 minute break they came back and played again for an hour. It was the best hour for me. Also many people left since they could barely hold on for so many hours and were exhausted, so there was much more room to dance to. When Ozric finished playing the organization announced there will be another show for half a price on Saturday. Guess what? The second show never took place. After the Ozric show we left. We were so tired and our feet were hurting.
Best highlights: Mantis Mash, Ozric (of course) and the psychedelic video show that was being played on the screens.
Things to improve: Bad organization planning, promises not being kept, bad line up timing and very crowded place.

Well dunno about what other ppl felt, but thank god we are all different
The timing of everything was perfect for me - as I arrived, MantisMash just got started with an exciting set which was a pleasure to listen to - awesome to start the night like that!
The next band that came on to the stage was kind of an opening band for the next act( Shulman) that came afterwards in my opinion. I couldn't understand what the guy is singing, and it was a bit hard to hear the guitars, but they performed nicely so - just to warm up Shulman, which in my opinion was the most interesting band on stage that night! And it was the perfect hour too... at least for me.
An amazing performance from the Shulman musicians on stage with totally new Live and upbeat versions of previously released tunes. I enjoyed every moment, truly.
My energies were totally up when Ozric went on stage, even though we've waited a bit too long for the initial setup of the band on stage.
After 3 songs they played, I headed home - my energies went down for some reason when they started the show. I was less excited and got quiet a bit tired too.

Deffinately the highlights of this event were MantisMash and Shulman. (did anybody mention Ozric on the flyer?)

Big thanks for Hasamba !           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

Trip - since its good friend of mine incharge on the setup let me explain why it was long..
Ozric are super cool dudes and they let the other bands use some of their equipment and even re-connect it on the other side of the stage.
my friend works super fast and work with big bands and he said usualy 99% no one would agree to do it (balance allready made etc.) , so slow setup abit but for good reason

The Event was great all in all

odradek was good

shulman .. well i was very disapointed .. big expectations i guess..

well Finnaly the reason i show up there showd up

for me the evening was good but the long delay and overcrowded club. the comfort is too small for such an evening.

odradek were pretty bad. the music was pointless and aimless and the singing was awful. they really drag the crowd down and 90% of their show the people were busy talking to each other.

SHULMAN was the high light of the evening for me. its not ease to perform a chillout act between two rock bands but i think they pulled it off with great success. they were the most intersting music from all bands taht night and had the best players on stage and the energies were really good!

ozric were boring and like many opther poeple i left in the middle of their show. no melodies nothing interesting. just rock drumming, power chords and some synths. sounded like children in a rehersal room.

overall it was a nice evening... thanks for shulman for saving the day
