For me it's gonna be my 5th anniversary visit
After checking some of the popular festivals over past years I came to conclusion that for a person that comes for the chill stage lineup, Ozora is probably the best choice. (Huge festivals such as Boom are not my cup of tea, even though they got a lot to offer)
If you disagree, please share your insights.
So out of curiosity, any of you coming ? |

Been to Ozora a few times, but I like Boom's chill stage more. On the Ozora chill stage at night there could be (as it was last year) faster music, and the chill stage turns into an alternative dancefloor with some minimal and experimental sounds, lots of people jumping around, too crowded and they make the place so dirty that in the morning it looks like s***.
I mainly visit chill stages when I go to festivals, and to say honest, because of what I saw last year there, I am not going to Ozora again.
Chill stage should be a chill stage, place to relax, place to stand as alternative to the noise at the main stage, place when you can sit and talk, let your mind travel, while your body is mostly immobile, which is not possible at night at Ozora. My sincere advise for their organisation is not to mix and create chaos of the stage, if they think the audience needs an alternative dancefloor, they should make it separate, there seems to be enough space inside the borders of the festival.
What I liked at Boom's chill stage is the great organisation of the line up: more intense beats and merry melodies during the day, and relaxing music in the night. Who plays is not really so important. Sure it is great to check all of the favorite artists on one place, but the flow of the line up, and the overall music atmosphere that is created during the whole festival is more important. That is why I am going back to Boom this year again.
Just my insight.

Well,it is almost the same as Aurora chill stage line up from last year. However,Biosphere live can be a huge diference between these two festivals. However, when we spoke about this year,Ozora is untouchable with line up.

And about Tamara's post i must say that Aurora alternative stage was just all what she said that need to have one chill floor.Nice vibrations, all time relax music,no garbage-all togheter many different than dance floor. It was more in the forest, with outstanding line up.I was there all days and never been so "chilled" in my life.

5th time for me as well this year, been a regular on the chill out and I really enjoy it...I don't mind there being a bit of uptempo stuff honestly, as long as it's not the same type of music that's being played on the main floor....to have only the typical psychill stuff playing 24/7 would be overkill in my opinion...I think diversity is the key...and on that note I plan to play some funky trip hop, glitch hop and nu jazz stuff
cya there

Were you there the night after Vibrasphere last year? That it the atmosphere that I didn't like. People spilling drinks all around, dancing on the carpets to sit on... and dark trance on the main stage. So where to go if you want to chill?
And about diversity, I enjoy diversity, and I play and listen to more uptempo and not really psychill stuff. But minimal and housy beats at the chill stage are too much for me.

I don't really remember which night it was that I played on the chill last year but if there's one thing I don't do is play 4/4 stuff there (minimal or otherwise), that's a no go in my book, I played a 4 hour set so I went through all sorts of stuff

I didn't say it was you I know you weren't playing than. Don't get my dissatisfaction so personally. I just asked have you saw that chaos.

Tamara : i agree about trend of occasional weird music during the night at chill, but nevertheless for me and my gf it became a habit to grab our sleeping bags and sleeping at chill during the night at least couple days during the festival.
for me it was amazing to wake up once in a while to some wonderful music i never heard before. that definitely surpassed all the 'negative aspects'.
i recall at earlier ozoras they had a big fire next to the chill as well. shame the stopped doing that.
and luckily i didn't see the chaos you mention. so guess more good memories for me |

it's cool, nothing personal...I understand what you're saying, it's always the case if you turn a chill out floor into a dancefloor...although the main floor doesn't look any cleaner or nicer in the morning either

Boom has Robert Rich and Murcof this year, I understand. I'm not gonna be there, but it gets my vote...

Hey Shahar
This year Boom also has Makyo from Dakini !
When i just began traveling to festivals i made a list of all the artist i wanna see and meet. Today this list still includes Gio and Adham Shaikh. (Adham Shaikh was playing this summer in France at Hadra, really shame i missed him because of my studies.)
And Gio is even harder to catch :/
