i cant believe noone has made a review of this beautifully freaky amazing festival yet...
Ive had the best time there and it was a really magical experience... almost everything was perfect so ill try to sum it up like this:
location: perfect!!! beautiful foresty landscape with huge cornfields all around (the corn maze was a really cool place to get lost when the music ended at the mainstage ) the place was really vast with plenty of space to camp and very comfortable grounds and of course easy digging space also i loved the sheep herd with the donkey that came in and out at times... very pastorlic
facilities: pretty much answered every need a person could have... plenty of water to drink, clean toilettes (tho mostly no paper... but still good), nice showers, plenty of drinking water allover (i think that the tapwater there was better than the bottled water ), lotsa food shops and shops altogehter - i really loved walking down the stands
oh ya and cant forget the sprinkler poles which were so refreshing to dig under the hot hot sun
deco: the mainstage deco was simply breathtaking at night - the best deco ive seen in a trance event ever!!! so trippy and magical! also the chillout stage was really beautiful aswell... aside of that there wasnt too much deco allover which i think can improve for the next festival - but all in all it was really beautiful deco where there was some
sound: this i think was the only weak point of the festival - i mean the volume was good - but the sound wasnt clear at all in my opinion as most of the time i was digging near the left speaker the bass at times simply took over the highs and you couldnt really listen to all sounds - it got a little better in the back of the mainstage, but still it could improve
music: fucking awesome trippy psychedelic music 90% of the time... i havnt enjoyed any lineup in a festival like i enjoyed this years ozora - great selection of artists and they all really fitted to their timeslots every artist with his own journey... my personal highlights were JUNO REACTOR (WOWOWOWOWOW!!! thats all i can say! so much energy and incredible vibes spread allover the people who came to see the opening act... very tribal and simply they swept the whole crowed from their feet ), TOTAL ECLIPSE - for me the best set of the festival - amazingly psychedelic trippy oldschool goa sound that took me and 20 of my friends at the main stage to a different place - i really wish stephane will start producing again cuz the music that he played was my definition of how psychedelic trance should sound , MAN WITH NO NAME - perfect set to finish the festival and had i think 3 or 4 encores... nobody could leave the mainstage , liquid soul, kristian, ans, driss and im probably forgetting more as i dont remember all of them exactly right now
i must say tho that i was incredibly disappointed about etnica and pleiadians not playing as they were one of the reasons i chose to go to ozora id really wana know why they havnt played , i was also disappointed from transwave's set as it was only christof playing full on and no classics (hell.. he played a fullon cheesey version of land of freedom which i was eagerly awaiting to listen to in a proper festival) - but his dj set was a hundred times better... really sick twisted music
and last but not least - every single person that took part of this years ozora - you all created amazing vibes and it was so much fun to dig with everyone and unite in this magical week.. i really had the best best time cuz of all of you!!!
thats it for now ill probably write some more later

I agree with almost everything you said goaren !
the sound was quite good except for too much bass most of the time. if you would have taken some distance from the speakers you could find a nice spot (around the center of the dancefloor).
highlights for me : prometheus, total eclipse for sure ! and tristan . also enjoyed reagen`s set till the end when he got too cheesy... (but played an amzing set till that point) . MWNN was also amazing. i enjoyed the first night also but i dont have a clue on what time i was on the floor i think i crashed before naked tourist.
i also realy enjoyed the chill out stage through out the whole festival.we heard it from our tents all the time and it was realy pleasent and flowing.
this was an amazing event hats off to the production.
by the way goaren ... stephane never stopped producing. new album is ready and on it`s way.
and he also played a new track vs. tul which was great (tul played it again at the after party and it`s a killer)
as for ozora ... simply AMAZING ! i`ll definetly be back next year.
and thanks to all the beatiful souls who were there .

of course... how could i forget tristan... pure electricity and he does it over and over and over again in any set he plays... sadly i missed prometheus but i heard he twisted peoples minds there and i also really enjoyed regan's set - all the UK dj's just played electrifying trance - and i also got to mention digicult which gave a beautiful happy melodic morning set, ok so now i have the lineup in fornt of me and can try remembering what was where and when
neuromotor - for a driving twilight set
jaia - WOW!
talamasca - happy morning set and great energies
hallucinogen - would normally be highly regarded but this was the 4th time i listen to him this year and after his preformance at the indigo festival he set (for me) very high standards so i guess i got used to his sets blue planet corporation - fionally get to listen to this kind of music on a proper venue - smiles allover
thats what i remember for now...
o ya and i also forgot to mention the heard of sheep that was lead by a donkey crossing our tents every day... that was one hell of a trip

as long as i know they were playing first on stage night after on friday 14th , Lucas and Zen Mechanics played instead of them previous night and Lucas had 2 sets which were by my opinion highlight of the festival and for sure that night/day was best considering music , Total Eclipse , Kraak was good as last year and surprisingly Talamasca i really enjoyed his performance...
best dark of the festival was on opening night , Giuseppe and Irgum Burgum , I cannot forget Tristan - the man who sets on fire dancefloor everytime with music and communication with people and Allaby was not good as last year , I dare to say average . That would be it about music . Only one missing from last years edition was Laughing Buddha ...
And as for organization everything was on its place , showers , toilets , drinking water , camping without hay was difficult but we can live without it this time our driver didnt have problems with entering the festival without ticket and leaving our luggage near camping place , cheers for that about sound system I also noticed more bass than last year but not the lack of high tones , maybe it was stronger because of much bigger number of visitors than last year , I doubt that with their experience orgs did something wrong .
Decorations on main stage made me feel like I'm not on planet Earth chill stage deco also perfect , respect for UK deco artists !
I'm sure I forgot something or someone , back to review after refreshing memory , peace !

This must be the best festival i have been to.The location was out of this world and a very beautiful crowd :);)
The music was to my taste for most of the festival... not much cheese phew:)
Trancewave,Protoculture,Kristian,Jaia,Peter Digital,Liquid Soul, and Digicult are the ones that stick to my mind.
I think i will encourage all my friends to come here next year.

Really amazing festival in all aspects top organization for me, but I won't go into details as they were pretty well covered by previous posts:) Just in short - for almost 1 week I didn't experience any sort of discomfort or any problems :]
For me sound was more than ok, especially in the center area of the dancefloor around the middle "column" ... well it could be better to some extent but even the present one was enough for great experience:)
Also the crowd was wonderful :] very positive colourful crazy people from all sorts...
Now the most important part music...
Although I'm not big fan of "newschool" Juno Reactor and also had some quite mixed impressions after their live in my hometown several months ago I must say they did quite well their job this time :] Good opening for long festival and also nice way to "energize" people I think...
next act that caught my attention were Derango guys... playing @ sunrise maybe wasn't the best timeslot for their music but still very satisfying live (for me the best "dark" live @ ozora) followed by also very good performance by Ocelot as well.
Then after a short break (for me, not for the fest ) I heard familiar Liquid Sould sounds coming from the stage and forcing me to follow them ... so just to sum up - the whole day was amazing progressive-psy journey from Liquid soul
global illumination i think very well represent the atmosphere at this time -
followed by very nice Andromeda live (I hope this guy will release new album soon)
here - remix of Talamasca classic -
then Peter Didjital with perfect dj set as one can expect
and for closure - brilliant Son Kite live (one of the highlights of ozora for me) - just a small teaser for those that were not there -
So day 1 dominated by Derango/night and Son Kite/day
After a short break the music started again but I did't really like the following night - Trippy Hippies, Cosmo and Kashyyyk I've listened to but couldn't get into their music (of course matters of taste ) ...nevertheless it was interesting to hear them since they won't appear around here quite often. The morning after them offered Megalopsy and Neuromotor but I happened to miss them ...hopefully the daytime provided me with great musical experience starting with Echotek live (I'd say returning to his roots and staying away from high bpm territory was nice surpise)
after Echotek a great and unexpected in terms of style dj set by Ans continued the journey and set up the atmosphere for the following live act - Jaia I think everyone knows and loves Jaia and his live @ ozora was just one more reason to respect this guy unique style and magic touch to his music ...at a very good timeslot in a hot summer day just pure bliss
after this magical journey a very good surprise came out from an unknown to me dj Gorgo from Hungary who played just the right tunes and very well provided transition between Jaia and the cloding live for the day - Vibrasphere
As one can expect the swedish boys were outstanding I always love their music especially after such a good musical day
soo maybe very hard to pickup my favorite for this day ...but I'll go for Jaia, though the whole day was wonderful voyage
again a short break during the very late hours of the day and early evening and we were ready for...
Day 3 , which started with Electriv Universe... a bit disappointing for me but probably other people will disagree:) ... so just wandered around the festival till it was time for etnica/pleiadians combo
Hyper Frequencies did good job, though I missed most of their live...then for my surprise there were no etnica/pleiadians but instead a very good "proper psy" dj set took place (Lucas maybe?) so it was a good time after all to be honest the rest of the lineup I didn't really enjoy (also missed Edoardo and Talamasca so no comment about them) with the exception of Hallucinogen. Simon Posford did really good job this time very live live, wonderful sound and great moments with his classic tracks like lsd, gamma goblins....
Then stupid me missed all the Ultimae acts @ the chillout stage due to sleep:( for good I woke up before Logic Bomb...and what a luck to not miss them what a great time with these guys!!! Absolute best moment for me during the whole festival was during Logic bomb live set when they played Third revelation track ))) definitely the best "psytrance" live act that I heard @ ozora (I must admit that I missed Prometheus )
after Logic bomb things changed with dj Christof (Transwave) who played very coherent dj set of "hi-tech" (hope it's the right term) psytrance... good set but I just cannot listen to this subgenre especially after Logic Bomb's juicy sound :> his appearance as Transwave was better, though still not exactly my cup of tea ...maybe a bit too cheesy but still it's a matter of taste surely a lot of people enjoyed.
Later this day (or actually early in the morning) there was good live from another french guy - Silicon Sound -
- among the better stuff this day next was l'Elf with very good and balanced daytime selection
Allaby I missed for some reason but when I returned to the stage Dovla was preparing the people for the next act with nicy proggy/tech mix
last for the day and maybe one of the most expected live acts - Atmos
what can I say Atmos gets the prize for best progressive live this year. big thanks for Drums don't stop!!! and of course for not stopping at the end transmission in vain was mandatory
Day 5 - Shpongle live concert was good as expected, though I think people that will attend their London concert will be more satisfied due to being able to make more closer contact with smaller audience:>
next one - Alpha - made good set on it's onw, consisting of night/dark psytrance , but I think it was not the best timeslot for this guy to play after Shpongle and before Prometheus. After that I went to rest for a while time but at the end I woke up in light and it was already Blue planet corp. playing down at the stage so big miss for me - Prometheus (as I heard a lot of very very possitive comments)
back to BPC - mesmerizing sounds and good flow for the late morning hours, Tristan made his game once again and Shane Gobi didn't allow any downfall of energy before the closing act for the main stage - much respected and loved (and rarely seen live nowdays) Man With No Name:)
I think very good live by mr. Freeland with some good surprises and some expected "goldies" ...the atmosphere was lovely at this time:) perfect end for perfect festival!
The rest was mr. Ott with dj set & live @ the chillout + whole night afterparty with hungarian acts and dj's
To sum up - magic time a lot of diversity in terms of genres there were bits and pieces for every taste and good way to explore things that I don't listen to usually. Also exclusive (at least to some degree) live sets like Shpongle, MWNN, Derango, Son Kite ... really made this festival special and not just gathering of some "trendy" names. As I mentioned the crowd was very positive good to be between people that love the music. Both stages were beautifully decorated in a very different fashion one from another! Especially the chillout was like in psychedelic fairy tale :]
Honestly that was really the best gathering I've been so far big thanks to all the artists, people and organization for the great time and hopefully be there again in 2010
///note: none of the videos are taken by me - i just looked at youtube to present some "taste" of what happened there

Had so much fun at this festival. the all travel was something to remember for the years to come.
Crazy hours on the Budapeste Deli Station followed by as some one yeld " hoffman train" untill Simonytornya and than the happy bus untill Ozora Fest.
Than camed the first day and wht a first day with Dj Marios to warm me up Liquid Soul to feel the trance Andromeda giving me a beautiful sensation color and happiness Peter Digital mixing some techno beats and Son Kite presenting an outstanding live set... so besides that i only sleept and eated
In second day Driss mixed a brilliant and intelligent set preparing me for Echotek that played a good psy/prog set Ans made a good morning set warming the all crowed for one of the Acts Jaia wowow this was simply amazing and colorfull and than after Grogo Dj set camed the LIVE of the festival "in my opinion of course" Vibrosphere delivery us so much emotions and happiness and the feeling i thing it was mutual from all over the crowed that shared this magical piece of moment after this everyone wanted to continue so the party had continuation on the Chill Out Tent with the magical vibrosphere pilot on the deck.
In the 3rd day i went to see the oppening Act Electric Universe with his powerfull full on music gave us a sensation of the good psytrance statement. than the hours passed and i return Lucas Total Eclipse Kraak and Halucinogen, all of them were brilliant but my highlight were in Total Eclipse set in spite of halucinogen being a geniouse im quite use to his Live set already
In the 4rd day i went to other direction it was time for night trance listening to the oldschool Pleiadiens Etnica Logic Bomb Cristof and Transwave ending in the Silicon Sound live and wht a journey i felt so lucky to be expose to this masters all together in the same Night/day. couldn´t make it for DJ Elf my legs were needing some rest. But they let me go to the Atmos Live set and im very pleased to make the effort because it was another moment of pure morning trance
Last but not least the last day began with the overcrowed Shpongle concert but for me the day realy began with BPC set followed by regan with his Nano style and the master Tristan with a incredible set puting everyone jumping like it was the first day again Shane Goby one of my favorite djs continue the partie sensation ending with the brilliant nostalgic set from MWNN.
Than i closed my festival appetite with OTT live & Dj set.
Thanx to all the organization from Ozora and to all the people that were there and made this festival unforgetable.
In 2011 I will return without a doubt and hope that everyone will be there as well.
see you all next year at Boom

my review from festival archive section pasted
hmm where to start. It was a great experience. First time at Ozora. Had a chance to see Budapest too and a very cool city. Magnificent timez had, my review for both the positives and more constructive critisizms.
Ozora was massive, as expected. maybe a little too overcrowded for my liking. The lines for shower and water were generally huge so you had to go at good times to not wait an hour. I think for this amount of people, the mainstage and chill stage were a bit small.
The mainstage was never empty and people kept it going, even when we had rain pouring. The fire by mainstage was crucial as it got dead cold at nighttimes and was a lifesaver for most I imagine.
Hmm for the music, there were ups and downs. I have to say the timetable was not arranged well in terms of flow and play times for styles. My favorite acts were:
-Derango (blew my mind away, super psychedelic goodness, had a great time)
-Son Kite (one of the best sets at the festival, very groovy, warm atmospheres)
-Logic bomb (could have been more towards mornin but still awesome timez)
-Vibrasphere (people were going wild, very melodic)
-Atmos (old skool, the guy knows how to work the dancefloor)
from being tired and other reasons, I missed Blue planet corp, shpongle, mwnn which I feel bad about but you cant have it all.
the downers in music was for my liking, there was too much high bpm stuff being played at nighttime. I mean it should be nighttime tripped out music but this stuff seemed like fast forward cartoon themes. I enjoy fast aggressive stuff but I'm talkin bout the music that did not have depth and was not able to make people move. I was glad that the more progressive-minimal side of psychedelia was represented in mornings and afternoons. Although not enough quality full power psychedelia for my liking. Like twilight twisted trippy fun stuff. Hallucinogen was soo boring. I mean come on, its been more then a decade and he's still playin the same old stuff the same old way everytime.
For so many people that claim to be more concious on their behaviour towards nature, it was just too much garbage everywhere. It was just sad to see garbage everywhere in chill and mainfloor when the sun came up. it was a sad sight to see the massive garbage dump next to the crstal temple on the hill.
The area was lovely, only thing missin was like a river or smtg. It was just breathtaking looking up to the ocean of stars. Good times.
Too many dogs. there was shit everywhere. Although I only saw a couple dogfights and that was good for this many dogs around.
Too many cars, it just takes you away from the camping and nature experience...we were by the chill stage campin and hearing the fawkin car alarms go off didnt help trying to get out of the city headstate.
Not enough deco, backdrops etc in area. Not enough shade in mainfloor also, it was like desert in afternoon. ALthough at nights with the light up stage according to beats was really neat.
It was sad and unfortunate to see the cops come in and arrest someone right in front of everyones eyes. Bummer.
People were amazin. all sortsa colours and beautiful people all around. Thats all I can think on top of my head for now. Thanks to everyone involved and those who put efforts to make this happen.

I had a great time as always, it's become a ritual for me to be there every year, since it's so close to Zagreb it's always a simple car ride and everything is so easy going there.
My favorites were definitely Son Kite on the main floor, they manage to hold me on the dancefloor through their entire live act and not many artists can do that to me nowadays...I also loved Liquid Soul and Vibrasphere but was a bit dissapointed that the guitar played couldn't do the live act on the chill as was intended.
I also loved the Juno Reactor live but not as much as last year, still they filled the entire dancefloor with such incredible powerful energy, Shpongle was ok but somehow I feel they are better suited for a concert hall, Ans also surprised me with his progressive selection.
Altogether I really enjoyed playing and hanging out with everyone, this year had the widest food selection and that's always good
There were many things which could have been done better but then again every year I see a huge investment on the location, this year it was the two big huts for the bar and food and I really love the idea of constantly investing in the same spot...still it would be nice to freshen things up a bit for next year.
its funny how if you look at the internet (forums etc..) you would have this impression that this or that festival are all ok and such...
but in reality, some festivals are ummm hohum and some are horrible and some are amazing.
its the same with music, if you pay attention to mushroom you imagine this or that music is popular, if you pay attention to forums you get another impression. if you see who is actually constantly playing on festivals you understand something else completely...
i dont know where you get your info from- but i cannot stress enough that this was a superlative large festival.
a large festival with the heart of a small one- with the feeling of safe friendly comfort
there are definately things to be improved about any festival, even this one. the musical lineup had some strange moments for sure... but the overall vibe of the fest was just super and i dont know how it will be next time but i have a feeling it will be similar in quality...
its worthy of your trust to go to this one...
and no they didnt pay me to say that and probably i'll never even get booked again on ozora but i was impressed as a human by the feeling...
Agree with most of the previous posts. It's a very special festival and a very special place. I've been there 3 years in a row now and its getting better and better. Hope it doesn't get any bigger though, this amount of folks is enough.
Musicwise I'd like to mention my personal highlite of the fest, SUBCONSCIOUS MIND, who played the day before the fest started in the cinema. Very beautiful music, hard to describe, but if you google him, you'll find his site where you can listen a lot.
For the rest I hope to be back in Ozora many years to come =)
