I looked around the ticket prices for other festivals and it made me real mad to see how much they are asking for ! Its a joke to say the least !!!
Well, here are our ticket prices :
Tickets:
From April 1 until May 31 --> 42 EURO
From June 1 Until July 31 --> 46EURO

We must of had something wrong with our heads when we thought of the ticket prices:
at the door 55 euros for a line up like that ???

Maybe it is not always about greed. Not all festivals have the experience and very good reputation that you have, and also a very strong line-up. Maybe they do not dare to charge as little as they want because there will not be enough people and they will loose a lot of money, and they play it on the safe side...
You have a good rep, and done this many times before and I guess you have a pretty big understanding on approx. how many people will show up?
But, sure in many cases it is all about the money... But not all I think
