hey everybody!
used the search but didnt quite understand whot i have to do from previous posts!
i thought about overclocking my celeron it a bit as i ve heard that cels are some of the best for this.
i go to bios...then?
seems i cant edit the cpu speed.

whats the problem?

If its not allowed in your bios i don't think you can imo (correct me if i'm wrong)..

diskOtek-celeron processor is good for overclocking coz thay cheep.

for what do you need to boost your processor ?
what motherborad do you own ?
what is your Bios virsion ?

boost FSB/multiplier, increase vcore/vdimm, run lower latency on ram... whats the prob?

if its locked from bios,u can use jumpers on the board to do the job(Jumperwnw-a-eis)

Just buy a new chip. If you haven't figured it out already, you probably shouldn't be messing with it - it's very easy to fry a CPU doing this, and even doing it correctly often makes your system unstable.

thank u for ur replies!
the motherboard is intel d845gbv.
the bios version is RG84510A.86A.009.P04
the motherboard affords max fsb 400mhz and the processor has 400mhz fsb.maybe theres a problem with this thats why its not allowed from bios?

of course i dont wanna fry it but if its safe enough why not do it?
