Hey everyone,
So, I found this website
http://www.interruptor.ch/club_simulation.shtml
Where they give you impulse response files for a pair of little clubs in Zurich. I always run my tracks through this at the mixing stage, to get an idea of how it will play back at a gig. It's super-helpful, especially with bass.
But I was wondering if anyone had tried a similar technique with a big outdoor festival sound system. I mean, that's what we should all be aiming at playing on, right?
Anyone? |

Pretty cool. But I would have thought a well mixed song should translate well to all systems, plus it's down to the live engineer (if applicable) to fit it to the venue. |

Thanx for the tip ! By the way, do you use headphones when using the IR to test your track ?

Hi,
I think there is no impulse response for outdoor..
I'mean from what should the sound be reflected? just from the ground, the people, the trees (if any)-- not like indoor concrete walls ceilings etc.... I love the outdoor sound, cause it's so dry and direct.
