Hello , Im am using ableton 5 for quite some time , and suddenly have encountered a strange problem .
Dont know if my clumsy fingers pushed some button or shortcut . But suddenly ableton is out of sync. It doesnt respect the timing . It punches out in the right way , but when entering, it just starts at precise the second i hit it , not falling into same tempo. Havent done anything new in the way i export the audio , and the bpm is like it should be , and the my soundcard is working like it should .. in all other places than ableton. Also when loading the samples into the project it can go crazy .. playing a kick sounding like 230 bpm .. and im in 145 myself .
Hope someone can tell me some short fast solution .
And yes ive installed ableton again .. even tried a warez of a version 6 .. but it acted the same way . |

out of sync with cubase?
or just by it self.
i only tried ableton a few times, maybe you have fiddled with some setting? or unmarked the delay compensation button(if you use some plug that needs it)... i dunno!
go ask at ableton live´s forum if they have any, or send them a mail...
good luck

Sounds like you should double click your loops and edit their original tempo and maybe cut their length down in the editor type section..
I'm not a pro at ableton at all so this might be an awkward explaination, or maybe an obvious one you've already tried..Don't know what else could be the problem though, it's always worked fairly well for me.
Good luck..

Set the quantization back to whichever setting you'd prefer
You may have turned it off with Ctrl-0
Ctrl-9 8 7 or 6 will set it to 1 Bar, 1/4 1/8 or 1/16ths respectively. |
