I intend to respond to some other points but this just stuck out at me:

be careful not too separate man from nature so much. this is the cause of many of our problems today. Conversely, I think nature does have an intelligence, although perhaps very subtle in its ways. Animals are not the bad things, perhaps more pure in a sense, because they have not bitten the apple. In this regard i think that it is better not to compare humans to animals, but rather humans to savages. animals never killed for pleasure nor do they horde items.

I don't know what the description of "savages" is but afaik they are just humans. Anyway, we most certainly can compare ourselves to animals because we ARE animals.
You just need to look at a cat playing with its pray before killing it or look at the very long list of animals that horde stuff (from squirrels to magpies) to know that it is a bit silly to say that animals don't kill for pleasure or horde things.
Animals are not "pure" nor are children. Those are just romantic ideas. There is no evidence to support this.
Also I don't believe "nature" has any intelligence. I have seen no evidence to support this idea. I think there are just basic rules of physics out of which the rest emerges. No intelligence, no plan.

You need to do a lot better than just dropping a name to defend such an unlikely premise.

Bukboys theory is based on Alfred Alders thinking, the concept of will to power.
There are 2 more western main theories, the will to sex (Freud) and the will to death(C.G.Jung).
IMO all of those theories are incomplete by themselves. They are based on the mind, the subconscious mind to be precise. Since we also have something called consciousness which is beyond the mind, there is definitely more to it than those 3 concepts...

Hi Undertow
Sorry, i just reread that now, and realized it may have sounded kind of imposing. And didnt mean to make it sound like I was taking a jab at you or scolding.. just wanted to open up the idea to you - intelligences at different vibrations, so to speak. Everything else you have said I felt deep harmony with and should have said that as well

And that is where the ego comes in, me and you...
Naturally we all can only say what is right for ourselves.

Im having difficulty finding a shroom leader here in durbs
However, Im not going for the "noone is right", hippy, "everyone feel warm and fuzzy coz we're all fucking special in the global consciousness" cop out.
"will to power"
Im only endorsing this concept because evolution has "reckoned" that it works, pretty well. I mean who am I to judge 500 million years of evolution. Ive actually never looked at it from any other point of view. i.e. no adler roots. |

It is useless to talk to you, you won't even listen to reason Bukboy.
And your view is so limited.
One last time I urge you to:
1. Don't tell me I am a hippie, I am not.
2. Close your eyes, watch your breath, once you are really in tune watching your breath, start including the rest of the body, then go deeper and start watching your mind. Nothing holy, just close your eyes and watch. Rationally!!! And stay conscious, do not get lost in your own Myriads. Kinda like Yoga, just on a different level. AGAIN< NOTHING HOLY, just watch.
When you have done so sucessfully for 1/2 hour, I mean fully alert, without drifting and becoming IDENTIFIED with anything you see, just as a bystander, ask who the bystander, the watcher is. You might then understand the concept of going beyond duality... and it won't even be theory, it will be your own experience and nobody can ever take it away from you...
nuff said!
