hey Psy Bates. This is not what you wrote, so it might be fair to give credits.
Your view (if its yours) smells of a redundant and chauvinistic hippie attitude, wherein we give in and give out, travellers in our own minds who care none for world around us except creating our own.
I envision a trance of awareness, where we dont just work in bio-farms, but use the awareness to 'dirty' our hands in making life better for everyone - beggar to billionaire. I wish for a future where we are irresponsible children but responsible people. Its great to wish for a unified world, but first, its good to wish for a happy India.

ahmm ... The writer remains anonymous so, though not my opinion, i like what's written like most of us here do  . It has a rebellious tone to it however it does go beyond regional flowery pipeline dreams restricted to a place or country ! Irresponsible children .... Responsible people... blah ??? Whatever that means  ...
May PLUR be our only manifesto and hope we know what it means !

Do not 'manifestos' differ from region to region, reflecting the realities of the place?

Hey v.v2 ! I don't know what you trying to get at brother  I first saw the manifesto about 3 years back while i was googling for ravers and raves  The Author was always Anonymous and I'll pm the mod to update the same on this thread

We've grown too practical to even dare try what was once experienced, to leave it all and just "Go", that's a move not many would fancy, not even those who may have in the past. Securities, ambition, dreams and craving they all make up, what we stand for and believe in now.
There will forever be a small part of us, that is rebelious. Nobody can avoid it, it's what helps us move on, it's what makes life worth living.
The modern tribe understands this, we dance without reservation, For those breif moments of our altered state, we free, we are'nt answerable to anyone, we are'nt bothered about what it means & what it should mean,, that's the way it is... . and that's WHY IT IS .....

the odourless colorless liquid in the vile should be dropped in our tongues at the age of 16 ..... shower n shit should be controlled as to conserve water and love for mother nature..... music should be not understood but tried to be understood and debated about the sub genres or its changing style.....money should be not wasted but downloaded music , vests ,pyjamas n chappals and goa trip a necessity to be dealt with....... and keep thinking how smart we are than the commercial crowd!! |

There have been countless number of generations that have gone by, from one generation to the other, people tend to follow and practice, whats past down as the best way of life, actually they pass down what they feel is the best way to live life to the fullest, like, get married,,, have children ,,,, and have a long healthy life.
If we look back into the past, how old is this psy culture that we believe in, been in existence? Im not talking about its roots, yeah! the TRANCE experience has been around forever, the tribal trance rituals are standing indications that the experience was always sought and is completely natural,
But I speak specifically to OUR music, how long back have you heard of people tripping out in the thousands, to electronic sounds with no lyrics and minimal live instruments and then reaching a alternate state of mind where nothing matters,
The festivals, gatherings and the trance dance culture of today is one that has been shaped by like minded people who believed in the psychedelics of our very existence, but these exhibitions of our unity and belief in this culture have not been around for that long, when compare to any other, its still in its early stages,, I know there going to be quite a few who going to disagree with this, but its a fact, this GENE OF MUSIC has not been around for that long, with that said, it has caught up and seems like its here to stay, and its here to stay only if its passed down by people who believe in it, just like any other Gene of music, Rock,, Hip Hop,,, Jazz etc etc.
So for the love of this sound promote it, just the sound nothing else,, not the Ds or the carefree lifestyle that we have so easily been associated with,,we still part of a vibe that will always be special, because it is. But I guess we should not shy away from letting everyone know that there are thousands who care to (dont know where I read this line, anyways >) Dance Like No Ones Watching. Cheers !
