hey friends..
i want to share with u one thing that i chated about with most of my friends and now i want make litlle descussion about it here.

the problemm is that i pay attention that most (every) our local dj's is NOT party ppl. i mean i forgot already then was last time i saw one of them dance and enjoy him/her self at party.
u ask me why or what is my problemm with it ?? i will say u that i think that its mostly immposssible to know what a crowd want/need if u never have contact with this crowd. period.

its very dissapoint to see dj's come to party, play and run away.. maximum they stand and look on us with this snob face.. WHY ??

WHY foreign artists can drink their beer and loose control on dancefloor and give u a feeling that u are TOGETHER..
in opposite our djs give u a feeling - nice,u pay my appartments.. WHY ??

WHY then i in every country in the world i can dance and meet on dance floor EVERY of LEGEND artist dance like kid and here litlle but with big ego djs look at u like a bulls..

last example was at Moksha project last party there all our branja stood on litlle rock and looked at dancefloor.. for a hours.. !! hey, what is your problemm.. isnt u WE ???? isnt u with us ??? isnt u FOR US ????

after that they want feedbacks but how i can give feedback if a man behavor like a pop star...

why the only place i can meet Yali dig the floor is BOOM festival ??

why in small underground party at Portugal i can see Pea eat bananot and Pena lough like satan ??

and i dont mean Avi Algernati or Ofer Dikovsky that already couple of years run away from a party 5 min before they finish their sets, i speak about this ppl who hardly know to put two trax together but already know show to everybody they are DJ'S !!! wow.... hehhh..

dj - do u want feel the crowd ?? do u want ppl will feel comfortable to get a small talk with u ?? do u realy want to know what we are wait for and what is a situation now ?? just COME AND DANCE  !!!

u cant ?? shy ?? SMILE AND BE NEAR !!! but dont stand out side and talk how bad this or other dj..

ahhhh...

bottom line: ppl, be simple and crowd will love ya !!!

your opinions ppl more than welcome...

please speak conventional lang ;)

i realy dont want to hurt anybody but its just absurd situation - we (dancers/party ppl) in one film and our dear dj's in other...

LETS STOP IT !!

well i noticed it a long time ago, i don't know why this happens, but personally i couldn't care less, unless they don't "read" the crowd well, in this case i want the dj to be in a place of a dancer and see what he's doing wrong, and some of them act snotty and some people are megalomaniacs i guess, other than that i always said that the dj is there for the PEOPLE not the opposite .
but on the other hand i met some of the nicest people among dj's, who dance and dig like crazy and they're IN the party and it's great fun to see it, but it's very rare , it's either they're super nice or they are super a**holes .

thats a good topic dude, and i was affraid 2 raise it... i am thinking about it 4 a very long time now, and as yossi said i have no logical answer...
the only thing i can say, and i think that at least 5 people on this forum can back up, is that if a person loves 2 DJ, and he is enjoying it, then u could c it on him, and u can take me 4 example....(if u were at my party u know what i am talkin about)... 2 me this music, and this DJing is everything, and when i play a track that i like and i c that people r dancing 2 it, there is nth better then it 4 me......

Those were my 20 cents....

well this is not quite true to all ( local ) d.j's
and i dont want to say names but with most of them i feel o.k to chat and sometimes have a picture with them.
but yes some of them just come to do their job.
but if you put your self in the side of the d.j you see that even sometimes ppl just hassel them and start with 1000 q.  and that kinda takes out the plesure out of d.j to continue enjoing the party.
anyhow all i wanted to say  -  bottem line - its not true about all the ( local ) d.j's.

its just a guess... but it could b coz of the croud?

i mean... if the dj gets all the good vibes from the people then he can feel much more open with them. i dont know...

i, personaly never had this thing. i djed in many little underground paries and its just the best to b on both sides :)

eli - relex man.

some d.j  - wheich in this forum btw even told me
" if i am not the d.j in a party - that i am not going to any party ! "

maybe sometimes they just have better things to do thats all.
the " poza " thing is something else.

pice of advice -
ask the d.j's directely.

eli i guess you are right, lately dj`s are getting far much respect then they deserve.
a dj is simply a guy who plays music.
and again when i was in berlin i met some really famous people from the techno scence most of them were very very nice people, but some of them where shites.
eli maybe the people you talk about just love the pose of being a dj but do not like anything else?

i dont really get the prob witht eh djs being sideline. somoen said "they just come to do their job" and tachles even if the scene is "underfround" and cozy etc etc if the dj is reading to crowed and he knows what the crwd needs IMHO their is no room to criticze.

i think that its like whores, if the whore is doing a good job with her client, he wont get mad if she doesnt watch all teh other people do their "buisness".

as for attidude, its not a dj only thing, their are crappy people on teh dancefloor and on the way adn at the gas stationa dn anywhere else, anyone can be a shmeck not just a dj.

and as a conclusion, have a nice day

hi all,

since every one is going to party's is some kind of a dj (or dj wannabe) you all looking at people that you recognize and some of them are also dj's.

ok, then you find them doing so or doing else and you feel what you feel, also some drug could change your point of view somtimes.

ofcourse you more aware to what people you know are doing you try to see what other people do with there hands, and then you see they just doing nothing like lots of people do, so you feel you even more buisy then them course you doing somthing!

then you feel bothered by it course you know them or they may know you, or ... blah, blah, blah.

if you may think of it again, you may find that even much more people in party's are doing none, couse they just came to relief with the music and the views of nature which surounds all, trying to have the weekend they dream about since long, just as all.

some party's that ive been and enjoy, where better in the atmosphere, then in the part of people who where pumping hard the dance floor, but that's also couse of the direction of the music im choosing.

and couse of there is no answer or conclussions in the end, i will give you just a hint, do what you want, be who you want, and enjoy it!

Come to think of it Ive been to parties where i dj`d and just sat on the side. Thats because my style of music was too diffrent from the other dj`s. I mean i go to those BIG parties with FAMOUS artists but there are times that i am sitting down not vibing with the crowd.
I think it is in the taste of music. Maybe there might be some EGO problems with a few dj`s, i dont know.
Or they could just be tired from doing their job DJ. you never know. But i can see what you are trying to say Zombi.

u can talk about the age.. yeah they are soooo old..
but Antaro and Raja at their 60+ dance this tribal dance with their female partners and do it well.. believe me...
also most of the dj's in the world is the main power of a party.. they are the "prime time" party ppl...
im not against anybody here.. i just wonder how its possible that all our artists dont know what is dancefloor about.. imo it make them worse than the potential they have.. realy..
as part of u know some of my friends also at dj buesness and.. and they lost party vibe also..
in fact i dont like to come to partys there my friends play.. becoze of this "behind the scene" atmosphere.. hahahahhh...

imo TRANCE is PARTY MUSIC, FROM PARTY PPL TO PARTY PPL.

btw for uzi - bro, take your time, rest a litlle , u need it.. your message speak about nothing.. i miss old funny and constructive uzi ;)

to kebabson - 100 %. u got all what i ment and u compressed it to minimum words. nice...
