Colin, at first read I thought you posted your list as I missed the quotes. Wow I am very impressed. I have always thought OTT has one of the nicest production and to see that is was made using such a minimal setup I am in awe! I guess his EMS vocoder is one of the things stashed away. Thanks for the pix. |

Damn Colin. I remember some old tracks you guys made back in the day, I think Kundalini as OOOD and that 12" off Flying Rhino as Unconscious Collective which my friends and I still play from time to time for nostalgic reasons. Listening to them I would have never thought it was made with just software? Hats off to you. |

Well just to clarify. I never said "poor". I think minimal was used. Anyway.... Listening to OTT's tracks, there is so much going on with synth pads, basses, leads etc + live instruments I imagined a room filled with more synths and guitars and such. Perhaps reading that OTT did the editing on the Shpongle albums I just assumed his studio had to be bigger then Simon's as well. I think the real magic lays with OTT's golden ears |
