+++ for the rhythm works and all the sound design, Ott stays the crazy gOOd producer... (large and lovely mix)
but - - - for the melodies and harmonies in this album, not crazy about the digital and trad voices too.
Really nice melodic approch on "the queen of all everything" but the leads doesn't work for me.
I was expecting something different, maybe next time.
A lot of people like it and it's the most important

The one time I ordered from Twisted never got my cd, so I was holding off til it hit the normal shops, but now that I've heard it might not purchase. Great production, but just too much world music for me. I dearly wish OTT would make more tracks like Hallucinogen in Dub or the Umberloid number from Soul Vibration. I enjoyed the first track on the album, but that was pretty much it.
I reckon for those who like their chill with world music, this is really great. |

Perhaps it was due to all the not overly positive reviews co far, but I wasn't expecting all that much from this release. After three days of having it in constant rotation, I've enjoyed it immensely. It seems to me to be an exceptional album that fell victim to all the hype preceding it. Put it away for a few weeks, forget about it, and come back to it without expectation. |

A lot of people on here are complaining about how Skylon's sound is "old" and not "new" enough. I have to disagree. Ott has taken his trademark, unique sound (which is great) in a new direction while still sounding like himself. I think it's great that an artist can develop a unique style; I wish more chill producers did. |

Talk about dinosaur-era distribution and bad business practices! Twisted "burned" us by promising and repeatedly delaying an album (which was finished SEVERAL months ago) that we've been waiting on for years.
I think they're trying to trick us into buying it from their site, but it won't work. The idea - in the era of broadband internet and Ableton live- that I should wait 8 months for a CD to get printed and 2 weeks to to have a CD airmailed to me from London or Hong Kong is absurd!! I don't even use CDs.. I use an iPhone and Mac software... so the first thing I'd do if I bought it would be to encode it.
No disrespect to Ott personally: love your music - totally disappointed with the distribution company and its formats. Hope your next masterpiece will be delivered with a lossless, DRM-free digital download option so we can support ya directly and cut out all the smoke, mirrors and plastic. |

I agree entirely. Twisted has some downloads on Beatport, but Skylon isn't available yet. Would love to download a nice copy of the album. |

Well put, BrettFromTibet, not much to add there
I too have been checking online stores frequently lately, but absolutely no nothing... it's quite depressing, cause I'd really like a copy of the album to join my collection, ASAP. Especially the royalish track, if you know what I mean.
Come on Twisted, please get the stuff flowing.
