why is this cd so hard to put on my own mp3 player or i pod has anyone else had probs with this, i`m not tech clever & i aint
managed it yet ,are twisted recs doing something clever to stop people copy cd`s and inadvertently stoping owners of said cd even being able to copy to a personal player?
its a pain in the arse |

Uh? Are you talking about the problems ripping the hidden track before track 01 or ripping the whole CD normally? I could rip mine without any problem, I don't think there is any (useless) copy protection.

Oh, and what ripper did you try? If you want I could rip it to mp3 for you, you would just need to proof ownership (photo of the case & note "heya Spirit" or something).

No troubles here ripping Blumenkraft.
1) What program are you using to rip it?
2) What error message are you getting?
3) If no error message, what exactly is happening? |

whats happening , nothing no error message -zilch it just doesnt acknowlede the cd at all |

you can buy special twisted pods...with Si P fingerprints printed on gold on the back....with all their catalogue already in it...
it will refuse to play anything elses tho...
but it will update itself WIRELESS directly from twisted headquarters with all the new release...six month BEFORE the release....
I don't know the price yet...but it should be fair.

Try using a different program to rip the songs to 320K MP3 or WAV (because sound quality counts  ) and then add that folder to your library. Then mark the songs to be added to your iPod and sync.
I recommend either Exact Audio Copy or FreeRip. Otherwise go into your iTunes options and set the option to automatically copy the CD when you put it in.
In iTunes:
1. Go to Edit > Preferences
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Click the "Importing" tab.
4. Select the option to "Import CD" for "On CD Insert" option.
This is also where you can bump up your audio quality options. I'd suggest the WAV encoder for the best quality or 320K mp3 as a space/quality compromise. Hit "Ok" to confirm your settings. Pop the disc in and it should just rip it and add it to your library. Go back and change that setting back if you prefer iTunes not to make a copy of each new CD it sees in the CD tray. Hope that helps.  |

I <3 FLAC. Only prob is that iPod and most DMPs don't support it unless you jump though a bunch of hoops.  You're probably right about the 256K VBR though. I rip all my music for computer/mixing use and not portable players, so space isn't a concern for me. |
