Hi today i´ve build bass and kick grooves,
dragging notes around in the pianoroll in fruity loops and it has worked very well.
When i did this i didn´t have any snap setting or quantizing on.
So now to my question how can i match my other instruments to this groove.
Can i make a new snap setting for this beat.
Cause when i add like for example hihats to this loop it doesn´t sound tight because the kick doesn´t start at exactly the beginning.
Some advice would be great

Best regards Conny

use quick quantize for beggining

than open the quantize dialog and play a bit with the quantize functions to see what happends!

beware your kick sample must be accurate if not use the trim tool on your fruity sampler to make it start exactly in the beggining!

THe bass and kick notes i moved around in the songlist regardless the grid "should" has it´s own "quantizing" allthough i didn´t followed the
snap/quantize function in flp.
Now what i would like to do is create some kind of
quantize map so i could add hihats and stuff to this bass and kick and make it sound tight.
When i add hihats they sound offbeat cause the kick playes a bit ahead.
No i don´t want the kick to play direct from the beginning it would ruin my groove.

man your groove is ruind cos of not well placed samples if its not in the beggening rest of the drums will sound lost and they never will groove properly !

you can try your way and work like this but you will finish a kick, bass, hihat, drumm loop in a month

the snaping in fl is there for that reason SO YOUR SOUND WILL BE ON TIME AND PROPERLY PLACED! or else you will never make a nice groove!

in the song list its stupid not to follow the grid cos its very easy to make great mistake when the track is gonna be overcrowded with sounds etc a small move on 1 block without snapping = disaster

i give an example=your kick and bass are placed us you said with theyr owne quantize try to load a drum loop in flslicer, slicer will put all the parts exactly in the beggining so the rest of your sounds will sound missedplaced you dont want that??

its like trying to remove your underwear without removing your pants first!!

U can make ur own setting files for the quantization. These files are named 'score'. Just click the first button in the upper left corner -> file -> save score as...

U can load the file then with the quantization tool
