Jip Apple copied the LG Prada which was the first of its kind, which was even released before the iPhone.
To make things clear I like some Apple Designs (the hardware, visually, Where is the beautiful brushed Metal and colors gone in OS X? All Gray these days) but the usability is anything else than user friendly.
My MacBookPro Unibody looks beautifully, but when working long time without mouse my Hand starts to hurt due to the very
sharp corner on the front , its 90 degree sharp Aluminium , *ouch*
iMac Design looks beautiful, but its pain to exchange the Harddrive or add a new, due to their proprietary HDD Firmware.
If you don't need to , good, if you want to upgrade or change ure doomed or have to pay.
IF anything works well with the Mac (hardware) you might be fine, but if something goes wrong you are reliable on the Apple Service point (wich is far away from my place).
Make sure you have bought a Protection Plan (there are cheaper than those from Apple) since Apple only grands 1 Year Warranty wheras other companies offer a 3 Years bring in service.
Cinemadisplay, it have a built in FAN which might get loud over time.

But Apple made something nice, they motivate the competition to built better products, finally there are some Metal design Notebooks around with illuminated keyboard.
