Agree, the whole arrangement is completely lineal, I suggest you to pick up 2 o 3 tracks u like, then copy them in your DAW and start cutting and naming the different sections, u know...Intro,Verse,Chorus, etc... then go back to your track and redesign the arrangement from scratch, keep in mind that u need to tell a story with your track, u can even use another track as a reference and compare. It's a good way to learn about arrangements, then after you do this for a while you'll have the arrangement of your track in mind even before starting it, so you'll not need to use other tracks as reference.
