OS X + Presonus Firebox mixer not working

Sorry for posting again but this is a better way to post this...
So i thought I'd post this up here to possibly help anyone who ends up going though what I did.
I am making the switch to a Mac book pro from a PC and I have the Presonus Firebox sound card.
I am use'in Ableton live to mix and what not. I had the hardest time figuring out why I was not getting a headphone cue to work right.
After a bunch of head scratching I figured out that the mixer program that comes with the Firebox was not doing anything.
It was loading fine and everything was working like buttons and sliders but it was not doing anything to the sound.
Without the use of this mixer you cannot tell the soundcard to out put what channels to the headphone jack. Thus no cue...
It is set to default setting and that tells it to mix all channels to headphone jack.
I am running the headphones into the #5 out put on back of the soundcard, thats the only way I could figure it out short buy'in a new sound card.
Anyone els use'in the Fire box with a Mac book pro?
Any fix out there for the fire box mixer in OSx?

are you on snow leopard? is it already compatible if yes?did you ask presonus what to do?

No, not on snow...
On both the Presonus and Ableton forums they are pointing fingers at each other. Only 1 guy seems to have had the same problem but he exchanged the unit and it fixed his issue but it gave him other issues...
Most people are getting the power issue due to the fire wire issues but thats not a bad problem it can just be pluged in and your fine but the mixer not working is a seriouse problem.
I might just have to wait and see if they release a OS X fix.
I wander if I was to try an alternate driver like Centrance's Ideal Driver if it would work?
Could I event do that in MAC the Firebox loads up the driver automaticly when I plug in the fire wire...

you could at least try another driver..
i would not search for help in forums but ask the presonus tech support directly..
i don`t believe ableton has anything to do with it..

I'm gunna give them a call this weekend and try to get it fixed.
How would I tell the FB to use an alternate driver if its loaded on to the sound card itself?

Hey mate, same story here, but mine worked for 2 years
then I updated the software & it fucked out
wonder if the latest version of the mixer software is dodgy

I might be wronge but i think I may have found a work around to this by use'in Studio one. It looks like you can use it to controll the channels so I should be able to use this to do samples and recordings.
