Bleu is a mellow and distinct gem of an ambient album that features live bass and instruments. It starts out with gentle rhythms and movements that remind me of the more sublime moments in ‘jam band’ psychedelic rock. Something refreshingly different than the typical 4/4 downtempo beats. The second half of the album is very healing & relaxing, and it ends with pure ambient. I have looked forward to falling asleep to this album every night for a couple weeks now – a sure sign of quality music. Playing it out has shown it fits smoothly into a variety of situations and moods. Everyone seems to like it. Recommended~! |
