Ork Monk is a hard and twisted psychedelic trance project founded by Zoltan Vajda, a veteran Hungarian producer already known for his releases under the name of Kalumet. Speaking Stones contains four abstract, gritty, and challenging works of dark psychedelic trance—the product of many unrestrained experiments in the studio over the last year. The resulting fusion of styles and influences is characteristic of Vajda’s creative and eclectic approach to sound design. This release is mastered by Kri @ Audio Valve and features artwork by Alexander Synaptic using Creative Commons-licensed photos by Yann Caradec.

disclaimer: I heard some complaints that it's not dark nor forest. I never intended to make any dark or forest music. These are the labels Alex has chosen as the music is the closest to these styles. It doesn't matter anyway, it's just music I believe.

Whatever you call it, it's twisted. Most of the psytrance I've been feeling lately is difficult to pigeonhole. I'd include the DoHm and Mukti eps from Ektoplazm in that statement.
Would love to hear more from this project. Big thanks to Ork Monk, Kri, and Ektoplazm.

Yeah, those categories by no means define the music... it's a very different release, hard to pin down, and that's one of the things I like about it
