What do u think about orion's projects?
what albom did u most like and why?
i most liked his albom metamorpheus
and i think that this albom has the most advanced trance ever made!!!
Spider-Monky is the Best psychedelic trance i have ever heard...
i most excpected his new albom unfortionlly his older albom was better...
and there for i asked befor waht happend to trance.
and like orion was the new albom of hux flux (and some other artists) the older is the better

yeah, I understand what you mean 
I too like Metamorpheus better (though my favorite tracks were Metamorpheus, Future funk and Area51) and had great expectations about his new album. even though I was a little disapointed comparing it with what I imagined, Artificial Frequencies is still the best album of 2003...
And you definitely should check Crunchy Punch, which is a collaboration between Orion & Alien Project, though from what I heard it luckily sounds much more like Jean Borelli than Ari. It's practically Artificial Frequencies II - the same sounds and style, only a little bit more melodic
but I can't agree with you about HuxFlux - I could never understand what was so special about Cryptic Crunch, because it had many great ideas, but it all had no structure to me. the tracks were strangely biuld, it seemed like they lost their ideas after initial 2 minutes, and continued without it for the next 6 and it really makes me laugh when somebody complains about the "jumpy full-on basslines" they use in Division By Zero, because I think Cryptic Crunch had them much more "jumpy" and "machine-gun"-like. And I find their new album (well, his new album - it's only Dennis now) much more mature and thought-out. It has distinct structure (from psychedelic, through almost full-on, through crazy and weird to chill), very well chosen samples and sounds. in other words I like the new HuxFlux much better, though I'm kind of old-school guy myself (I prefer pre-2000 psytrance than most of new releases)... |

Orion has released some good tracks in the past, and I still think his two tracks Neon and Pots 'n Pans on that Set 2 Iboga compilation are quite cool. However, his latest album Artificial Frequencies just is the same song over and over. Crunchy Punch is even worse in my opinion because almost every track on that one has a drug reference. I have to agree with both posters here that Orion's best work by far is Metamorpheus, an album which in that time stood out as quite creative. But, alas, it seems Jean has left his creativity nowadays.

@Acidhive: true, he really is making the same style nowadays, because I collected something like 15 compilation tracks from him, and they all sound very similar
the "problem" is I still enjoy that particular sound and in spite of it all I find it much more creative and different than any of other full-on releases these days (Melicia, Psydrop, Astrix, Alien Project, Dynamix, Fatali, Hujaboy etc.) |

i think that many artists like: Melicia, Psydrop, Astrix, Alien Project, Dynamix, Fatali, Hujaboy, sub6 and many many more sound all the same!!!
but artists like orion, hux flux, battle of... , weirdo beardo etc have a uniq sound of theire own

Orion is def. one of the more unique sounding artists... metamorpheus is an island of its own, and his new one I like A LOT.
great groove and intelligence to it... spider monkey was more edgy, his new stuff has more flow, and slides around all over the place too. |

I will joyn the fan club..
In my opinion, Orion is one of just a few full on artists who still make interesting music. His tracks are always deeper and trippier. I love to dance to his tracks and discover new sounds and interesting twists every time I listen to it. His album Artificial Frequencies is an under rated album. One of the best full on albums ever produced in my opinion.
