Hi there,
I use FLStudio 6, but i have seen the ORION PLATINUM 6 and it looks good, more soft with a clean interface and very soft for one computer much more the FLStudio 6, i'm right or is just because i'm newbie?

Tell me what is the best for you...i'm starting real enjoying orion.

Everyone has his own preferences. I don't think you'll get an answer that is going to solve that question for you.

Software A got the advantage X, while software B handles problem Y better than software A.

That's why both companies offer demos so you can check it out for yourself.

If you start to enjoy Orion, why not stick with it. The day will come you want to make new experiences. Maybe you step up and try:

-Reaper (http://www.cockos.com/reaper/)
-Energy XT (www.xt-hq.com)
-Cubase SX
-Ableton Live

At the end it comes to how YOU work.           soundcloud.com/epsylohm

Orion has limitations... if you use it you'll end up giving up when you find out it's limitating you. stick to FLStudio is a much more solid sequencer.           Pyrex :: Traveling without moving

i prefer Orion much better. Im using it since 5 years, and i always could do everything with it.
Of course it has limitations, for example i pretty like its WASP synth, although i know its weakness (it should have better filters, and more precise oscillators, particularly: saw-wave forms). But i think its a great software.

the worst for me is having only two inserts per channel... that's hell.           Pyrex :: Traveling without moving

you can add two multi-fx holder for each channel. each multi-fx holder can hold another 4 fx.
So by that way u can use 8 inserts per channel.
Not to mention what if you place a multi-fx holder into another multi-fx holder...

Yeah, I never got why so many people prefer FL... Orion is a great little program. As Lucid Sound mentioned, the insert channel limitation used to be the only downside, but they upgraded that a few versions ago with the multifx holder, and the X-Y axis of that controller has cool possibilities.

I really liked the program but ultimately had to move up to something a little more professional because the whole pattern-based approach bugged me, but its a great program to start with when you just want to start making beats without too much fuss.

A lot of other SF based producers started with Orion, like Mubali, Ocelot, Quasar & Dyalien... probably more that I'm forgetting.
