Sedorikku... Yoyogi Park seems to be a bit 'case by case' from my understanding. In general, 'amplified music' is not allowed, but there do seem to be certain circumstances where it is 'overlooked' by the authorities.

I know 'YKid', on www.japantranceforums.com, has been involved with a few small parties in Yoyogi recently. I asked him about it, and he said that the organizer had good relations with the local police, and that the police knew 'that this party was 'OK'. Now what that means, and what is 'ok' or not is a mystery to me...

Good luck!!

Thnx Sickboy!

That's what I was thinking, even the police doesn't allow this, all they can do it's to come and enjoin us to stop, or can they(like in france!)keep our staff?
thnx
I try to contact Ykid...

Hey Sedorikku,

YK, Sickboy and I are planning our crew's Hanami in Yoyogi too. I know 2 other crews are doing the same. The crew that play in Yoyogi every Sunday that Clive Frog and YK know have a special relationship with the police. Their parties also finish by 5pm.

There are signs up all over Yoyogi saying that amplified music in the park is illegal, these were put up after they stopped the parties 3 years ago. My friend says they can make you pay a fine, and take your name - thats all. They wont take your equipment if you give them the above. If you dont pay the fine or give them your ID, that's when the park officer's get angry and call the police, then everyone gets shut down.

With 3-4 crews doing parties in Yoyogi during Hanami, it should be lots of fun but also means the police will shut us down. Anyway, our one will have the blacklight string art if they dont shut us down before it gets dark!

Good Luck! See you there!           The music was like new black polished chrome
that came over the sky like liquid night.

Hi Danza,
There's one every Sunday arvo by the pond regardless.
We will do it when the Sakura are blossoming. Please subscribe to the mailing list at http://www.psy16.com if you want info. on the exact date and time.
The other parties, I'm not exactly sure.

See you under the Cherry Trees!

Ken

As long as it doesnt get out of hand, i am for doing parties in yoyogi. I just dont like how all the people say they want parties at yoyogi, but they leave all the trash behind...

Spot on Hikari,
Last time we did a party at Akanehama it took 6 staff over 1 hour to clean the rubbish!!! I provided garbage bags too!
I especially hate picking up all the cigarette butts left on the ground, they are the hardest to clean.

Have a good time but respect the environment!           The music was like new black polished chrome
