Organic Records has been grooving and shaking the global psy-trance scene since 1997 with such successes such as their Tsunami Benefit triple CD album, which has raised nearly £10,000 to help victims of the disaster, to the pairing of the minds of Colin OOOD and Andrew Humphries into Voice of Cod, whose debut album We Are Free topped charts recently. Organic's latest endeavor, Psymeditation 2, will be no exception to this trend, and the track list speaks for itself! This compilation takes on a bit of a ‘tribal’ feel and brings you into a world of deep meditative vibrations. I am very interested in buying this, the tracklist looks fantastic. Noodream, Slackbaba, Nagaul Sound Experiment the list goes on. Nice to see another Ganja Beats track, loved the Paradise & Tranquility album - very spacious ambient dub.

V/A Psymeditation 2 [Organic Chill]
I don't know if the listen of this compilation will generate mediation among people, meanwhile i'm convinced of its capacity to describe several painting, situations, metaphoric or subliminal messages.
Among the most obvious or significative cases, let's start with Noodreem's tune. The situation is simple, it's spring & the weather is fine. You're in the countryside, submerged by a contemplative mood, observing butterflies running after each other around you or a little frog which tries clumsily to follow your steps with an inquiring look to your direction.
Inside Drink More Tea from Slack Baba, i've got the vision of a lost kitten, walking on a deserted road at the seek for his masters. There's mixed feelings here, loneliness, sadness, anxiety from one hand and vitality, will, hope from the other one.
Uncounscious Collective drives you to assume a new physical shape, a very flexible & always muting one. Every five minutes, you're evolving to a new step from your normal human shape down to the size of a sand's grain, all this in a continuous & infinite loop. As a result, your major problem now, is to re-adapt quickly yourself to new spacial-temporal marks .
Ganja Beats him, invites you through an aquatic journey via a metamorphosis into a fish who will let itself float at the water's surface in a semi conscious state, propulsated by the flowing of a little river of mountain upto an wide open sea.
So, the artists are different, and not especially famous for most of them, but they provide an homogeneous & smooth Chill-Out quality flow all along Psymeditation 2.
And now, it's up to you checking if there's some meaningful messages through the others tunes and how they could concern you beyond the simple fact of relaxing & entertaining you. |
