You lucky freaks!
I gotta say we've had a great year in Japan in terms of hearing awesome live sets (Derango, Polyphonia, Ocelot, Para Halu, Penta, Jellyheadz, Fractal Cowboys, to name a few...).
But ORESTIS is the one I haven't experienced yet who is at the top of my wishlist.
Orestis + Fria = big Tantrumm tantrum!!

Not to be a buzzkill, but spoke to many people (djs and party goers) from CA where Fria played not long ago and they said her set was "very, very weak".
I know I'm passing on this party. As much as I'm curious to see Orestis, not going to support evil mdma Metaforce. Principles are stronger than desires. |

im not familiar with that "he said, she said" ish, but i've seen Fria dj set with my own eyes/ears, more then once in fact, and she really crafts some quality sets. plus owning Tantrum records and all, she'll play tracks non of us have ever heard before.

If you haven't seen Fria, it should be kinda hard to anaylze her music, no? In my own (non-oppressive) opinion, Fria knows how to throw down, she's rocked my head twice! I think the whole Mojave incident was based from A. Maybe Fria's style doesn't exactly cross over to the West Coast and B. there was generally some wierd shit going down that night.
As for principles and stuff, I guess to each his own of course but lets not conjure up another Metaforce bashing/supporting parade. |

intentionally slanderous comments will do nobody any good.
also, Metaforce made a decision to not post their parties on Isratrance anymore, so i'm hoping this has been done with their permission. either it's one way or the other....the decision was made for a reason. |

FRIA IS EXCELLENT!!!!
I don't know where the cracked out 'buzzkill' comment came from... but it's a pretty hollow statement...
When Fria played in the Mojave a couple months back she by FAR was the best act there (Dylalien had a fantastic set also)... without a doubt!!!!! She had the dankest unreleased tunes and good skill to match!
She was also very friendly and fun to talk to while waiting in line to get our sandwiches @ the subway down the road... hahaha
Go to this party and enjoy the madness!!!!
