ORCHID BITE is a vj project by visual artist's Alexia de V. from Belgium and Sabrina H. from Finland created after meeting accidentally in Helsinki in autumn 2006.
Orchid Bite is an adventure from high culture to underground and back and forth. A. de Ville de Goyet is more into liquid feeling video when S.harri is more into collision and found relations.
Orchid Bite vjing performance mixing live pictures, found footage, documentary and self-made videos from scale models and urban landscapes and real time video capture on electronic beat.
We consider the screens as a painting, mixing the layers and colors live in a serigraphic way to the point where fiction and reality converge. This restless painting functions as an open window, not on the world but on representations of our world.
