Every so often, a very special idea is born. The stars align and things just click. This is what this release has been like, a dream born and realised in the Phonix Labs. We are pleased and proud to share with the world, Orca - Bedtime Story - REMIXES!
Orca (Alon Laifer, Israel) originally released this classic back in 2011 as part of his Bedtime Stories EP on MMD Records (South Africa). Fast forward to 2019, with support from Orca and MMD Records - Phonix Records was given the unique chance to help breath new life into this dancefloor monster. And then our partners in crime stepped in... Brain Driver (Syvlain Cornut/France) opens the release with his uniquely groovy and extremely psychedelic retelling. An unforgettable remix, the Brain Driver will take over your mind (and dance shoes!). The second remix comes from Infektion (Bruno Lopes/Portugal). True to the original in spirit, Infektion lends to this remix what he has become infamous for - a serious vibe with an insane amount of energy, and melodies straight from another dimension. Listeners beware! Goosebumps likely, this one is simply put it, EPIC. And last but certainly not the least, Omega Flight (Derren Nuttall / United Kingdom) joins the EP with his original and glitchy take on this classic. Chunky, techy and at time filthy - this remix comes packed with enough acid to achieve time travel. It is sometimes hauntingly beautiful, sometimes mischievous - always surprising.
