Dear Friends,
First and foremost: The Orb Festival crew 100% shares your wish than to achieve solidarity and create a supportive arena for the growing trance culture here in the States.
This year we were faced with some tough decisions.
Returning to Echo Lake was not an option for multiple reasons, and we began some months ago searching for a suitable locations. Unfortunately several visits to possible venues failed to present suitable environment and accommodations for the trance family and her special needs.
Ramblewood is a quality space, and the fact that it became available since Gaian is not happening this year, was both a surprise and a clear indicator to go ahead with our preparations for 2010 festival, (No other dates were available).
We have a faithful family that returns yearly, and we are happy to be able to offer that despite a less than desirable schedule conflict with Gemini. Gemini is a wonderful annual event, which the Orb Crew hopes will flourish for years to come,
Let's all think of each other when we are dancing under the same sky...

This is a blatant lie! its merely an average day out. 
i may be wrong but doesnt every big event post "ever" on here have someone questioning the date then someone saying well there are only so many weekends in a summer then everyone chips in and eventually people are arguing with other people via computer from often thousands of miles. cyclic?

Personally, I'd really like to attend both.... not being partial in my own experience to either organizer, and being a fan of both festival's previous' years lineup, it really does kinda disappoint me that these festivals are on the same weekend....I guess its kinda beating a dead horse at this point, but I must say, damnit

Please don't set the main stage where the GM did. Put where the down-tempo stage is, or otherwise mind as well there by the river, more space for dance and flatten than the previous, safer for the sound travel. Just a personal idea.
