I'm at echo lake now. It's a little chilly and moist. Losta fog. But the rain is not a problem. And btw; the place looks great! I talked to some of the crew who are doing sound and lights and they have this thing under control and on schedule.

If anyone was on the borderline about coming to this festival; just come! The deco artist already has a bunch of tripped out installations set up. This is going to be a blaster ! Hope to see you soon!

first review
i was @ the party only for like 7 hours
from 1230 am friday night till arnd 7am sat morn
so cant give a full review but will post thoughts
hmmm....
i think the deco and setup of the party was done very well and very professionally...good job orgs!!!
also the sound on both stages was pretty clean and powerful...maybe a little more power needed on main but cant really complain about the sound
$150...seems a little steep for a 3 day festival...i dunno just my thoughts on that
on the main stage...listened to frias set...very nice...what you would expecct a tantrumm set to be like...lots of orestis and watnot...enjoyed but wish she had more time to blast tho...1 hour 15 doesnt really seem to do justice to a dj of tantrummm calibre hahahhahaha
after her was illegal machines...never heard them before so had no clue what to expect...the bpms def dropped after fria ; however, some very nice music...very powerful and driving for the most part...and was digging hard through most of the set...
after illegal machines i think it turned into a cheeze fest and i just boucned from the main stage...the hard night had been set up for a very powerful morning with lots of ppl stomping very hard...sucks that the cheeze took over so quickly
after that me frnds and i wetn to check out maya stage since didnt like music on main stage...some wierd thing happened when we got ther...some crazy russian girl who was either drunk or on something got on the dj stage and started telling the dj to stop playing music bc she was a "very happy joyous person full of positive energy" and the dj was playing i think little hard dark psy and i dont think she could handle...inmho if u dont like the music that is the wrong thing to do...either leave the stage and go somewhere else but do not criticize the dj as expressing evil emotions when you are wasted yourself and are just spreading more bad vibes...sketchy russians plz take note!!!
got some other bad vibes in the morning from some stupid nyc rich kids who think its funny to threaten people on lsd...not gonna repeat the story but if i had been a little more pissed and not tired would have called security and gotten the dude thrown out of the party...plz watch out next time if i see u @ party will make sure u exit very quickly if pull another stunt like that idiot...
for my 7 hours ther tho i can say had a very good time...stomped very hard...and was pleased that the vibe on the dancefloor during the night was definatley full power...hope the rest of the festival before and after i left was as pleasant as the night as i was ther
big booooooom to all

Awesome experience. For me it was Psykovsky all the way. Him and I were actually conversing and we agreed together reg. the progression of music. Beautiful.
It takes a lot to manage an event of this scale. The deco was top notch. Porta johns were plentiful but seemed like it wasn't being cleaned regularly. $35 just for parking the car next to the campsite put me off but i guess some people do it for money, some for love.
The people i met there as neighbors and otherwise were awesome. the best i have met in a long while. Jason, Nicole, Julio, Heather, Alex, John and Didgeridoos crew.
Keep it Goa'n !

That DJ was me. It was a very intense thing to experience while in full blast mode. She came up and started deliriously screaming about the music being to fast...I was playing groovy grapes at bout 149-150, so wtf...then she goes on wailing some gibberish, and out of no where lunges herself at the mixer...like tries to jump over me and swiped all the channel faders down...lol...at this point I correct the sound and go back to the issue at hand, I looked around to see if anyone was looking at what was going on and could help me out by grabbin her while I mixed, but to no avail....so after another lunge at the mixer I "curtly" told her to get off the stage...it was an pretty interesting experience...Epic stuff happens at epic festivals such as this...Its all in how you handle it and your attitude towards it...A quirky memory with me forever alongside the infinate others created this weekend!

Funny thing is, she did it to like 3 other djs...lol...Crazy girl.

This was the best festival I have ever played and attended. I had the most fun I have ever had. Listened to the BEST music on this planet. Rocked out to my full hearts content. Thank you to all involved. A festival like this raised the bar throughout the entire scene in the US. Keep it goa'n Alladin!!!!!!!! Met so many amazing people! Sorry we had no time for goodbyes as we were running late to catch our flight....which we missed...lol. No worries at that point, still had a giant smile plastered on...

Pics & more to come...

tarikad, you were threatened? Geez. I hope it wasn't the E.E.H.T.M.M.C. (The Eastern European Hydraulic Trance Mass Murder Cult, for the lay person). Sketchy.

This sort of thing should never happen at a party. Threats? really? So pathetic.

I had a blast! Yeah the lineup was completely wrong and there were a handful of sketchy people but whatever.. So much great music and great people at this festival! This was my first year at Orb and I'll hopefully be back next year. I'll go first with the photos....

@ ktif....
Ive seem that crazy girl as well ,she claimed to be a happy person and was having hard time with dark music ,totally non sense bullshit ive seem her around all weekend long ,there was music for all kind of taste in this festival ,it didn’t matter who was playing she wasn’t dancing anyway ..all she did was walk around complaining and eating and her teethes .haha Anyway @ktif your set was very nice ,don’t let things like this get into you, keep up the gd work .

For me I think the only complains in this festival goes towards the few people who attended the festival like this girl and also i like to point out another group blasting their own sound system all weekend long with some really bad mixing and awful tracks .PLEASE future organizers don’t allow people to set up the own sound system we pay a lot of money to listen to the artists who are coming to play, we don’t need to listen to some dude who is not even on the schedule playing bad trance.
Psykovsky was really amusing, for me definitely the highlight in this festival.
Thanks to alladin crew and all involved, we had a really gd time .Hope to see you guys back again next year.

I'll get the bad out of the way first. Here were some things I didn't like/that should be addressed.

First thing that some may not mention was the djs mixing abilities (or lack there of) on the second stage. I won't mention any names, but I really hope you know who you are. Some of these were people that I was told were "the best" from their areas, and they did play some great tracks, but the mixing was absolutely awful- to the caliber of if I heard someone playing that bad at my party, I wouldn't book them again until they improved on that significantly. Please, take this as constructive criticism, proper mixing is the most basic part of djing and it really overshadows great track selection.

Second was the lack of progression of music (mostly noticed on the main stage). Friday went from prog- dark prog to dark. The saturday of rinkadink to psykovsky to shane gobi was hilarious. This didn't prevent me from enjoying all the sets played, but that was the worst flowing lineup I've ever heard.

Third was sound. Not sure what was messed up with the sound on the second stage- might have been djs running the reds, but it kept dipping and sounding strange esp on thursday night. Main stage sound setup was just plain wrong- subs off to the side- wtf? Again, something else that should be fixed, but didn't ruin my good time. Bringing in the caliber of artists that were there and having a crap sound setup is just wrong.

For those complaining about the $35 to park by your campsite- I hope this charge was more to deter people from parking there to save space and the hassle of all those cars driving through such a small space. For next year the orgs could offer rides for people on the golf carts back to their camping spot. Maybe charge $5 just so not everyone is doing that-saves the orgs from having to deal with it the whole weekend and saves the waste of gas of the carts.

Now the good:

Music played was excellent. Saturday night to sunday morning was the best experience I've had at a psy party. So much good music. The live sets were just crazy. The dj sets were perfect. It was also awesome to see some national friends playing on the second stage at such a big party.

The people there were amazing. I must have missed any of the bad people I've heard people talking about, but the large amount of people I met were all just awesome. There were a ton of good vibes going around the whole weekend- and not just on the dancefloor. It was also great to meet some people from isratrance as well .

The deco was off the wall awesome. Got lots of great ideas and inspiration from what was setup there. Having a deco team is a great thing and I really liked how there was deco all around the campground- not just at the stages. It really provided a feeling that you were always at the party, not just walking around some campground.

In the end I will definitely be coming back to Orb again. I heard a lot of people say that this year was a big improvement over last year and I really hope the orgs take all the criticism to heart and improve on the areas that need it.
