- line up flow to be improved 100 folds

- friendly and helpful security?( if there needs to be those weirdos standing on the dancefloor atleast have ones that can smile...is that even possible.
but some of them were downright rude!!
orb fest is very special to me as the 07 fest was my first in the usa but the orgz need to really get their act together. they seem to be open to hearing what the public has to say and hopefully with that they will orgz a beautiful fest for 09 taking everyone's pts. into consideration.
all the best in putting this together. its not an easy feat by any means but with the right spirit, attitude and intentions it can be a good one.

Hi Damon,
It wasn’t Neil Gibson’s backdrops it was Julian’s backdrops, and he was paid the amount that he requested for the damages before it was posted online.
Bonita, as to the incident you're referring to, I (Eyal) initially approached Julian at the yogi box party in order to clear up the issues that had been posted online by you, but he responded in rudeness and dismissed me. My brother Elnadiv took this to heart and his verbal behavior toward Julian was a direct reaction to that.
You're right, if there's a problem or misunderstanding it could best be resolved by proper communication and that’s why I approached Julian in the first place.
In regards to the food prices most of food was reasonably priced including meal plan, the chai shop with the hot dogs was handled by an outside contractor. This year's festival we will make sure to oversee the service of the food and insure the best possible quality and prices.
In regards to the line up: the confusion was caused by a combination of factors that will be addressed in future festivals:
1. The sound company that we hired didn’t comply with timing obligations; therefore stage opening was delayed by 7 hours.
2. Some artists (local and international) didn’t show up, or showed up later than expected, due to personal reasons.
We also had a round the clock crew for the bathrooms, 3 people at any given moment taking care of the cleanup and we added 22 portable bathrooms to the site. This year we'll have more bathrooms and an even bigger cleanup crew.
Bottom line we are learning allot from previous festivals, there is so much to handle and we're happy to take it on, working hard to upgrade the organizational management so that logistically this year's festival will run allot smoother and be the best ever.
We welcome all your input, but like Alakazam says, this thread is not intended for a bitch fest, and like Bonnita reminded us, let's get it on in the spirit of love, community and constructive feedback.
The truth of the matter is that despite the glitches and unforeseeable complications ORB 2008 was a killer festival in a beautiful landscape with nice people, good energy, very good music and nice deco. We're looking forward to seeing you again at ORB 2009 for a meeting of the tribes in peace and celebration, great music and high times.

Although he may not have complied with timing obligations, It was pretty clear that the electrical power service available to the main stage didn't have a sufficient voltage for the equipment being used ( amps shutting off because too low voltage, stage lighting "pumping" with the beat, etc. )
If the same spot is to be used again for this fest's main stage, perhaps you guys should hire out a big genie?
I'm imagining that would be cheaper than installing all the components necessary for permanent high-amperage box at that far corner of the site.
I don't know if you are going with metrosound again, but I'll stick my head out and say I think it would have sounded much better with a traditional "2 stacks in stereo" rather than the 4-way setup used on both stages.

well well!!! Im not going to argue on here im just gonna make my point and that will be my last post on that topic.Elnadiv ,it was pretty clear after all the chasing around, and endless hours of waiting to be paid and arguing about you trying to rip me off I didn't want to talk to you at the party,I wasn't rude or unrespectful,I just told your brother that I didn't want to talk to him and it was ok,but you came up to me all offended,yelling and being aggressive,really you should just change your attitude.if you wanted to talk to me and fix thing you could of call me write me ask to meet up you knew I was in new york ,dont just come up to me with your attitude when im having fun at a party. I worked for you three time and all off them where a disapointment,disillusion and lies I wont even start to enumerate what went wrong at orb... and after all that, all you think of doing is to come up to me and acting agressive, ...overall you should just change your attitude and make party for the right reason

2 stacks in stereo almost always sound better and cleaner than 4 corners. The only reason to do corners is if you get sound complaints from 2 directional stacks, otherwise I wouldn't bother. I don't think I've ever heard a 4 corner system that sounds "right".
