Optokoppler is Oliver Schmidt and Tim Rsken. Olli was born in 1978 and Tim in 1979, both of them in Hamburg, northern Germany. In 1998 they both visited their first psytrance party and where overwhelmed and rapt. After that they both started making music and djing on their own, each one seperately. Oliver passed his exam for sound-engeneering at the SAE technology College and thus he brings along the knowhow while Tim primarily cares about the compositions. Optokoppler was founded in the year 2003 when the first music copruductions began to start. And than there were a lot of gigs on underground-parties in the following year, mainly in the german psy-party-scene. In 2005 their first consolidated album, 'Optokoppler - replugged', will be release on USTA Rec.
