hey guys ,
There was a thread sometime back on tips / steps to optimize your pc for music production..i did a few searches for it but cudnt find it ..now im not sure if it was a thread on its own or randomly posted in some other thread ..please help me find it ..my pc is giving up ...

This is a little nice tool to check your system latency time - DPC Latency Checker
http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml
Watch out for all running services and drivers.. you don't want your anti-virus or hard drive indexer or disk defrag to start working at a critical moment
Wifi and bluetooth drivers are also a pain.
I've got my latency on my production laptop down to a solid 18 uS line bar

when using windows probably it s tweakable to get better performance , depending the plugins used it can be fast to max cpu specially at 96khz |
